A List of the original subscribers to the "Story Statue" was furnished the Committee by the Treasurer, where it appears that the whole amount of subscription was 3480 dollars. By the Treasurers report, he paid for the statue 5528." it follows, that he must have had at some one time 6518.97 to have the Balance of 990.97 now under consideration. By the annexed list, there appears to be thirteen fourteen surviving original subscribers. Your Committee are of opinion, that it will be necessary to have the consent, not only of the surviving subscribers, but of the representatives of those deceased, to make any disposition for the Balance referred to, but with instruction from the Board. Otis Norcross Esq

Dear Sir,

Will you please take the enclosed report of the Supt respecting the lot of est. of Sarah Spring, (3324) with you and con-- fer with Mr Austin 28 State St. (as Mr Curtis has enclosed his resignation) as to the amount deemed needful to secure the perpetual repair. -- I send to you as you can probably find Mr A. more easily than he can you. He is generally at his office, I think, until past 12.

The Executor desires as early a reply as convenient. I told him probably within a day or two.

Very resp.y yours

A.J. Coolidge

S.S. Osgood Esq. 328 Bleeker St. New York

My dear Sir,

I return the contract for repair of your lot in the Cemetery, which has been duly recorded. You retain the original as the evidence of such con-- tract on your part, although it will not be likely to be lost sight of by the Corpor-- ation.

I have sent to the Supt a memorand. of what you requested done this year upon the lot, which will no doubt be attended to.

It will be hardly necessary for me to say that the $2 was received.

Very truly yours

A.J. Coolidge Secretary

I presume he could furnish you a copy for each of the lot owners at $2.50 each.

P.S. I think it may be well to put the figures representing size of the monuments and their distances from side lines of the lots, which you notice on the sketch, on to the plan to be filed. --

Article 13 of the By-laws of this Corporation invests the Committee on Lots, among other duties, with "the general supervision" x x "of all questions of right -- between individual proprietors, or between proprietors and the Corporation." --

Messrs Stickney and Poor, who are the proprietors of lots 3118 & 3119 situated upon Rosebay Avenue, con-- taining 2000 square feet, a year or two since contracted with a granite man for a curb around their lots and last year employed the Superintendent to set the work up. -- After the work had been commenced, a difference of opinion arose between the Superintendent and
