Motion that it is inexpedient to invite Hort. Soc.y to join in purchase of Stone Meadow laid on table _

Mr Norcross inquired the views of the
Board touching the expediency of inviting the
Horticultural Society to join with their Corporation
in the recent purchase of the Stone Meadow,

After discusion,

It was moved by Mr Livermore

Voted that it is inexpedient to dispose
of any portion of the Stone Meadow. _

and

On motion by Mr Bowditch,

It was voted that
that motion lie upon the table.

Sale of land to Camb. Cemetery _ inexpedient to take action now _

The President for the Committee on Grounds stated
that the lateness of the season rendered it inexpedient for the
Committee to examine the Stone Meadow during the winter
with a view to sell any portion thereof to the City of
Cambridge
.

Granite Railway Co.y suit _

Mr Norcross for the Committee on the suit of
the Granite Railway Company against the Corporation
reported that he had had further interview with the counsel
for the Corporation.

Comee have further time _

The subject was discussed, and
on motion of Mr Bowditch

Voted that the Committee have fur-
ther time to report _

Voted that Mr Bowditch be added to the Committee.
