1868-03-10 Story Statue: Report of Committee on Lots on Fund for repair of Story Lot & Story Statue Fund (page 2)

A List of the original subscribers to the "Story Statue" was
furnished the Committee by the Treasurer, where it appears
that the whole amount of subscription was 3480 dollars.
By the Treasurers report, he paid for the statue 5528."
it follows, that he must have had at some one time
6518.97 to have the Balance of 990.97 now under
consideration. By the annexed list, there appears
to be thirteen fourteen surviving original subscribers. Your
Committee are of opinion, that it will be necessary
to have the consent, not only of the surviving subscribers,
but of the representatives of those deceased, to make
any disposition for the Balance referred to, but
with instruction from the Board.
