Report of Committee on Salaries _

Mr Rand for the Committee on Salaries submitted
their report as follows: _

"The Committee appointed
"to inquire and report upon the compensation of
all salaried officers of the Corporation" to whom
their Report made , was recommitted,
beg leave to report: _

That upon further consideration, they recommend
that the salary of the Secretary be for the present
year thirteen hundred and fifty dollars ($1350):
and that of the Gatekeeper, six hundred & fifty dollars ($650),
with the usual allowance for Sundays.

The Committee are induced to recommend
this increase to the amount mentioned in their
former report, on account of the present high cost
of living and as a special and temporary increase,
and not in any way fixing the salaries for any
future years. The Committee see no reason for changing
the salaries of the Superintendent & Treasurer from those mentioned
in their former Report.
