Final Settlement of claim of Granite Railway Co. referred to

Railway Company had proved a failure _ that the
stains appeared to be inerradicable [sic - ineradicable] _ that the contract
had not been performed, although ample opportunity
had been given them for experiments to remove the stains _
and the Committee would recommend that the
subject should be finally disposed of without further
delay. _

Special Comee with authority to remove façade of Catacombs-

On motion by Mr Nazro, it was

Voted, that the façade of the catacombs furnished
by the Granite Railway Company not being
conformable to the contract,

The President with Messrs Rand and Norcross
be a Committee with full powers to remove the
same, and to make such settlement with the con-
tractors as in their judgment may seem just. _

Resolution adopted requesting Mr Curtis to withdraw resignation as Trustee _

Mr Rand said that among the matters
brought before the Board at its last meeting (at
which he was unable to be present,) was one which
he sincerely regretted _ the resignation tendered
by Mr Curtis as a member of this Board _
He had hoped that his long and valuable services
would be given to the Corporation still longer; and
that he would be induced to withdraw his resignation.

On motion by Mr Rand, it was

Voted unanimously, that Mr Curtis be
requested to withdraw his letter of resignation, and con-
tinue to serve at this Board. ~
