The record of the last meeting was read.

Com^ee relating to purchase of land westerly of Cemetery discharged _

Mr Norcross for the Special Committee to
inquire and report on questions connected with
the purchase of land westerly of and adjoining the
Cemetery, made a verbal statement.

After discussion it was

Voted that the Com-
mittee be discharged so far as relates to inquiries
respecting the purchase of the lot westerly of the Cemetery.

Com. to confer with Mass. Hort. Soc.y authorized to secure modification of Existing contract _

The Committee associated in relation to the
accounts with the Horticultural Society for filling
and improving unsaleable land in the Cemetery,
verbally reported, through Mr Norcross that
the Committee had had a conference with a
Committee of the Horticultural Society, and a
modification of the existing contract which should
secure a complete annual settlement was found
acceptable to the Committees, and would be proposed
to each Corporation.

It was thereupon

Voted that the
Committee be empowered to confer with the Horti-
cultural Society, and secure such alteration of the
Existing contract as will authorize this Corporation
^^{to deduct} the cost of filling and improving unsaleable land in
each year from the total amount of sales of each year
before making the annual payment to that Society.
