A clear colde day.

Ben and Owen cut until twelve then helped Marvin Smith shuck corn all the evenin.

Josie did a big washin this morning. I got dinner and staid with the children.

Miss Willie Wooding come a while this evenin.

Marvin solde his red cow to day. Fifty three years a go to day I was married.

A clear colde day. It snowed a little this morning. Ben and Owen cut wood in the woods to day. Josie ironed some this morning. Josie got dinner. I ironed for while. She got it and after dinner I finished ironing.

Josie and Edna went up to Mr Owens this evenin then Josie went to Marvins a while and to night Ben and Josie went to Mr Edmons and have not come home yet.

Franklin staid a wake until half after ten. It is now eleven.

A good day. Ben and Josie and I went to Mrs Carrs this morning. Josie and Franklin staid with Mr Carr. Ben Mrs Carr and I went to Altavista on business. Got back to Mrs Carrs at two oclock. We eat dinner and come home. Got home a bout four oclock. Henry went to school. Edna went to Marvins.

Lizzie Bennett and Ola and Gordon come down to see us all. I would of bin glad to see them and would of bin at home if I had of knowed that they would come. I was at Carries a little while this evening. Heard to day that poor Charles is worse off want to go and see him soon.

A beautiful day.

Ben worked until noon then went to Mr Carrs burial. Josie and Franklin was down there. I got dinner then went with Ben to the burial. Henry went to school. Edna staid at Carries all day. We heard to day that Buck Farmer was buried to day. I set three hens this evening the first that I have set. Mr Owen plowed to day the first plowing that has bin done here this year. We had salet for dinner the first that we have had this year.

A nice morning. Wind and a little rain in the evening.

Ben and Owen went to Charles Brumfields to help shuck corn. They finished getting up his corn and finished covering his corn house.

Josie ironed the most of the day. Carrie and Roy and Hazel come and eat dinner with us. Josie helped to carry Hazel home. Gladis Brumfield come with Henry from school. Ben and Josie and Franklin went to Mrs Carrs to night. Ben will come home if nothin happens to him.

The children are all a sleep now.
