Copy of a Deed from Mrs. Maria B. Furber, to Dartmouth Cemetery Association.
Newton Center Mass. Dec. 30, 1879. To the Hanover Cemetery Association of Hanover, New Hampshire: I hereby give to the Hanover Cemetery Association the sum of one hundred dollars, in trust, to apply the income of the same, from time to time, annually, as may be necessary for the care, preservation, and embellishment of a lot and its appurtenances, situated in said Hanover Cemetery, wherein is now buried the remains of my late husband, Professor David Peabody, and to keep the principal sum and all unexpend balances of annual income safely invested in bonds registered bonds of the United States. the principal of one hundred dollars to be preserved and maintained intact, as a permanent fund, and the income only to be annually expended. As may be necessary, to keep the lot and its appurtenances substantially in their present condition and desire the remainder be allowed to accumulate so as to provide for possible extraordinary expenses, in repairs, in the future, or removal of the monument and stones, and for such other changes as may be necessary to maintain the lot and its appurtenances in good condition and repair forever. It being expressly understood and conditioned, provided that the permanent fund of

one hundred dollars is always to be preserved and maintained, and if by any misfortune it becomes impaired it is to be made up by adding each year at least one half of the annual income until the principal shall be restored to the full amount of one hundred dollars. I have deposited the said sum of one hundred dollars into the hands of Hon. Frederic Chase of Hanover N.H. for this purpose, to be by him invested in a registered United States bond, and turned over to your Treasurer, if you accept the trust.
It is my wish that the fund shall remain upon the same, or similar security, and that no change of the investment be made without the vote of your executive board, and the written approval of the President of your association, for the time being. and that the accumulations as fast as they accrue shall be deposited in the Dartmouth Savings Bank, for the purpose of the trust, if it is solvent, otherwise in some other solvent Savings Bank, and when a surplus of sufficient amount shall have accumulated beyond the general necessary expenditure that it also be transferred to United States Reged Registered Securities.

The annual meeting of the Dartmouth Cemetery Association was held this day in the office of the College Treasurer. The meeting was called to order by the Vice President. The reports of the Secretary and Treasurer were read and accepted. C. P. Chase was chosen to audit the account of the treasurer

A meeting of the Directors was held this day in the Cemetery. Voted to sell to Mrs. C. F. Richardson one fourth of the Brewster lot, No. 309, for one hundred dollars ($100~) and to deposit the same in the Dartmouth Savings Bank for the benefit of the Brewster heirs.

At the call of the secretary a meeting of the Directors of the Dartmouth Cemetery Association was helf this day at 2 P.M. in the new bank building. Mr. C. P. Chase read two letters from Thomas B. Booth Esq of Boston Man. to Prof. J. H. Lord, the first offering and the second transmitting a record book or directory of the Cemetery made by his grandfather, John Richards, who was a clergyman at Dartmouth College and pastor of the College Church from 1842 to 1859.

ation the book of records of the Cemetery made by his grandfather, the Rev. John Richards, and that the Secretary be instructed to express to Mr. Booth the greatful appreciation of this Corporation for this valuable addition to the archives.

The annuaal meeting of the Dartmouth Cemetery Association was held this day in the office of the Treasurer, according to notice duly given. President Frost in the chair. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read by the Secretary and approved. The Treasurer reported the income for the year from endowments to be $310.07, contributions $8.00, which added to the balance on hand at the beginning of the year of $257.02 made a total of $575.19. The expenses were $184.13 leaving a balance of $391.06. The endowment fund was increased during the year by $400.00 making the present endowment for the care of lots $5858.24. The general fund is now $1459.70 and the total

The annual meeting of the Dartmouth Cemetery Association was held Monday, Apr. 26 at 2:30 P.M. at the Dartmouth Savings Bank Building, with three directors and the Secretary present.
In the absence of the president Newton A. Frost, the vice-president, Gilman D. Frost presided over the meeting. The records of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
The reports of the Superintendent and treasurer were read and placed on file.
The following directors for the ensuing year were elected:

The adjourned meeting of the Dartmouth Cemetery Association was held Monday, May 3, at 3:30 P.M. at the Dartmouth Savings Bank Building with four directors and the Secretary present.
Discussion was held in regard to the acquisition of two lots, but no definite action was taken.

A special meeting of the Dartmouth Cemetery Association was called by the president for 12 o'clock, noon, at Mr. Frost's office, to consider a question of exchange of stock owned by this association. Mr. N. A. Frost, Mr. C. P. Chase, and Mr. A. D. Storrs were present.
It was moved by Mr. Storrs, seconded by Mr. Chase, and unanimously voted, as follows: "Voted to unify and confirm the action of the treasurer in assigning the three shares of the stock of the C. and M. R.R., belonging to this association, for exchange with the same number of shares of the B. & M. R.R., preferred stock."
