Office of City Auditor City of Fort Worth. J. J. NUNNALLY, AUDITOR.

Fort Worth, Texas, Sept. 16, 1906.

September 16/ 1906.

To the Hon. Mayor and City Council; Gentlemen:-

We, your committee on Finance, to whom was referred the attached petition of Wallace Hendricks, asking for a correction of the assessment of Lot No. 6 Block No. 5 Union Depot Addition to the City of Fort Worth, for the year 1902; beg to report that we have consulted the Assessor & Collector on the subject, and have been informed by him that the assessment for the year mentioned included a house, valued at $400.00 when in fact there was no house on the lot. We would therefore recommend that the value of the house that was not there be taken off, leaving the assessment at $200.00

Respectfully submitted, John F Lehane E P Maddox C G Harold Finance Committee.

W. J. ESTES., ASSISTANT

OFFICE OF JNO. T. MONTGOMERY. City Secretary

FORT WORTH, TEXAS Apr 31st 1906

To the Hon. City Council of the City of Fort Worth,

I respectfully request that you allow me a rebate of over-valuation on Lot 6 Blk # 5, U, D, A for the year 1902. All adjacent lots were assessed at $200 00 The tax officials say the mistake evidently occurred, through a misapprehension that the lot had a house on it, I have or will sell the lot before this can be acted upon for a gross price of $400 00 and will have paid the taxes.

Respectfully submitted: Wallace Hendricks
