Mr BL Waggoman Chairman Claims Committee
Dear Sir
On Aug 4th I went to work as Janitor of City Hall and the month received $32.00 for my services last month which was at the rate of $40.00 per month the salary paid Grant Ferguson. I have filled, the places of Ferguson also that of the other janitor whose duty it was to Keep the Police Department Quarters.
I was told that if I could do the work of these tw. I would receive the pay of both and I respectfully ask that you allow me for the time as other janitor which would be $24.00 as he was paid $35.00 per month
Thanking you very kindly for your consideration & attention to this I am,
Most Respectfully Howard Gardner
