Fort Worth, Texas, Sept 17 1906
To the Hon. The Mayor & City Council, City.
Gentlemen:-
I hereby recommend that B. U. Bell & Max Bender, Health Inspectors, appointed to serve until Oct. 1st 06. be reappointed to serve until next regular appointment of City Officers by City Council. I make this recommendation because it is my opinion that two Health Inspectors are unable to keep City in a sanitary condition on account of extensive territory to be covered. Existing conditions keep four men constantly at work & even then it is very hard to please everybody which we strive to do & keep our City in a clean, sanitary condition. Since inspectors were placed under my charge, 3,700 notices have been served, in addition to regular routine work.
Respectfully Lyman A. Barber, M. D. City Physician.
