To the Hon. Mayor and City Council;
Gentlemen:-

We, your committee on Finance, to whom
was referred the attached petition of Wallace Hendricks, asking for a
correction of the assessment of Lot No. 6 Block No. 5 Union Depot Addi-
tion to the City of Fort Worth, for the year 1902; beg to report that
we have consulted the Assessor & Collector on the subject, and have
been informed by him that the assessment for the year mentioned inclu-
ded a house, valued at $400.00 when in fact there was no house on the
lot. We would therefore recommend that the value of the house that
was not there be taken off, leaving the assessment at $200.00
