MARCH 22

1931. Stayed at home all day & studied my lesson's this morning. Cosby came in the afternoon.

1932. Went to school today. Christia Lee & I went to town this afternoon & I got some Easter eggs. Studies a little tonight.

1933. Uncle Brack & I went to town today and I took dinner with Mrs. Mann. I had some teeth filled today. Sis came to town this afternoon & I cam home with her.

1934. I ironed this morning and I house cleaned the middle room today also. Sis cleaned the dinning room and Mr. Slaton & Dock's room.

1935. Rex went to town with a load of tobacco. Basil stayed all night with us last night. Basil & Dock went to town also. I have been sick today & in bed nearly all morning. I read some this afternoon. Sis went to aunt Patie's this afternoon & quilted some.

MARCH 23

1931. Went to school today and came home this afternoon. Mother went to see Mrs. Kirkwood this afternoon, She isn't much better.

1932. Went to school today. Alline, Christia Lee & I went to town this afternoon. Ernest & I went over to Mrs. Mitchell's a little while.

1933. I cleaned up the house this morning. Sis and I worked on her quilt a little this afternoon. Basil came tonight. Basil, Sis, Rex & I played Rook.

1934. I made some tobacco canvas this morning. I house cleaned the kitchen this afternoon and Sis cleaned the hall & porch.

1935. I cleaned up the house and SIs got dinner & made 2 cakes and boiled some ham. Mary came a little while this morning. Rex & Dock went to town this afternoon. 3 men came & fixed our stove this afternoon. I am some better today.

MARCH 24

1931. Went to school today. Came home this afternoon and studied my Economic Geography tonight. Mrs Kirkwood isn't much better.

1932. Went to school today, Alline Slaton & I typed a little while after school. Studied a little tonight.

1933. Mr. Slaton is 79 years old today. Lin & Jess spent the day with us. Jess, Sis and I pieced on Sis quilt this afternoon.

1934. We had a surprise birthday dinner for Mr. Slaton today. He was 80 years old. Cousin Herb, Lin, Jess, Lanna, baby, Nora Lee, Evelyn, Joseph, John Marion, Albert, Jim, Loyd, Jasper, Modest and Ruby all came.

1935. Mr. Slaton is 81 years old today. Loyd, Modest, Ruby, Jasper, Jim, Amelia, Albert, John Marion, Joseph, Nora Lee, Evelyn, Lanna, B.J., Bobby, Jess, Lawrence and Cousin Herb Slaton came today. Lanna, B.J. and Bobby are going to spend the night with us.

MARCH 25

1931. Went to school today, came home this afternoon & studied on my Economic Geography final. We have it tomorrow.

1932. Went to school today & came home this afternoon. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond came a little while tonight.

1933. Sis annd I worked on her quilt some today.

1934. Sis and I went to Sunday School & church at Browder's this morning. Rex, Loyd and Jasper went to Pleasant View. Joseph, Buck, Rex & I played Rook this afternoon.

1935. Lanna, B.J. and Bobby went home this morning. Rex and Sis washed today and I got dinner. I am nearly sick today. It has rained nearly all day & we had to the clothes in the house. I got a letter from Mother today and she said Alyene has a new baby.

MARCH 26

1931. Went to school today. I made 91 on an English test. Studied on Economic Geography tonight.

1932. Stayed at home all day & studied some. got a letter from Cosby today and also one from B. F. Asburn.

1933. Sis, Reck & I went to Uncle George's this morning & spent the day. 14 of us went to see the back water this afternoon. Sis, Jasper & I took a boat ride. Some of the rest took a boat ride too but they didn't go with us.

1934. Sis and I quilted today.

1935. Sis ironed and made a cake and I helped do the house work and ironed some. I have been nearly sick today. Mr. Slaton is sick.

MARCH 27

1931. Went to school today, and came home this afternoon, and played the Edison tonight. Mrs. Kirkwood is still sick.

1932. Stayed at home all day, Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond spent the day with us. It has rained most all day.

1933. I got sick last night and have been sick all day.

1934. Sis and I quilted today and I wrote a letter to Mother.

1935. Mr. Slaton is better today. The Missionary Society met with us today. There were 12 members, 4 visitors and several children that came.

MARCH 28

1931. Studied on English today. Mother and myself went to see Ocie a little while this afternoon.

1932. Came to town this morning & went to school. typed a little while after school Christia Lee, Alline & I went to town this afternoon.

1933. I am a little better today. Leona and Elizabeth came to see me this afternoon. Sis and Dock washed this morning. I wrote a letter to Mother today.

1934. I quilted some this morning. Rex & I went to town this afternoon & I went to Mrs. Mann's. Uncle Brock came to Mrs. Mann's & I came home with him & went to Mother's. I am going to stay a few days wtih Mother & Dad.

1935. I finished ironing, got dinner and worked on my tie quilt today. I got an annoucement of Alyene Roger's baby today. It is a girl, weighed 6 1/4 pounds, named Donna Jo and arrived on March 17, 1935.

MARCH 29

1931. Studied this morning, Cosby came in the afternoon. Clifton, Ruth and Evelyn Bell came a little while this afternoon.

1932. Went to school today. Alline, Ernest & I went to the show tonight the name of the show was "The man who played God".

1933. I am some better today. Sis ironed this morning and I ironed a few pieces. I read some in "Penrod and Sam" today.

1934. Mother & I washed a few pieces this morning. Mother & I went to Ocie's this afternoon. Ocie, Amy Florence, and J.D, mother & I went to Mrss Lena's this afternoon but she wasn't there. Mother & I went to Uncle Brock's a little while late this afternoon.

1935. I got dinner and worked on my tie quilt today and helped clean up the house.

MARCH 30

1931. Went to school this morning. Mother, Mrs. Mann & myself went to town this afternoon and I got some new clothes.

1932. Went to school today. Studied for a test in Physics tonight. It is raining tonight.

1933. Rex and I went to town this morning and I went to the Doctor he said I had something wrong with my bladder. It has rained all afternoon.

1934. I cleaned up the house this morning. Mother & I made some candy. Mother & I went to see Uncle Brack this morning and also this afternoon & I trimed the rose bushes.

1935. I got breakfast & worked on my tie quilt some this morning. Sis made a cake, boiled a ham & dressed a chicken this afternoon & I cut some quilt pieces for my Fan quilt. It has rained today.

MARCH 31

1931. Went to school today and came home this afternoon. I studied on my English tonight and read 12 pages in David Copperfield.

1932. Went to school today. Alline and I typed a little while after school, we went to town this afternoon.

1933. I am quite a bit better today. Cornell and June came this afternoon. I wrote a letter to Alline Slaton today. I finished reading "Penrod and Same" today.

1934. I made some pies & a cake this morning. I went to Uncle Brack's 3 times today. Rex came late this afternoon & us going to spend the night.

1935. Fletcher, Stella and Anna Roseline spent the day with us. Buck James came tonight. Dock, Buck, Rex & I played Rook tonight.
