MAY 1

1931. Went to school today, I studied a little this afternoon, and mowed all the yard this afternoon.

1932. Stayed at home all day. Cosby came this afternoon. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond came a little while tonight.

1933. Sis and I washed this morning and we mowed the yard this afternoon.

1934. Mother & I took the potatoes up out of the hill this morning. Mrs. Clindining, 2 of her girls and a granddaughter, Mrs. Nurse, Mrs. Ashby & her daughter & Mr. Hartman came to see Dad this afternoon. Mr. Jim Lyon came & took Dad to the doctor I went with them. The doctor said Dad was better.

1935. Leona, Elizabeth, Sis & I went to town this morning a little while. We went to Mrs. Cecil Hanner's today to the missionary meeting. There were 16 members & several visitors present. We came back by Mrs Wells.

MAY 2

1931. Went to the crustee Election, Dad got 27 votes, Mr. Slaton got 4 and Mr. Nurse got 2 votes.

1932. Came to town this morning & went to school. Alline & I went to town this afternoon. Alline came a little while tonight.

1933. We ironed this morning and we cleaned on the yard this afternoon. I got a letter from Alline Slaton today.

1934. Dad is better this morning. Uncle Brock & I went to town this morning & I spent the day with Mrs. Mann. Lawrence came to Mrs. Mann's after me & brought me home this afternoon. Mr. Slaton went home with Lawrence & is going to spend the night.

1935. I ironed this morning. I have been nearly sick today. Leona & Elizabeth came this afternoon & I helped Leona bound Elizabeth's quilt. Elizabeth helped some. Sis is making Elizabeth a blouse.

MAY 3

1931. Dad & myself went to Miss Lena's a little while in the morning. Cosby, Erdine & myself went to church at town tonight.

1932. Went to school today. Our Physics class went through the telephone office this morning. Alline & I went to town this afternoon.

1933. I cleaned up the house, helped get dinner and did some patching this morning and read some short stories this afternoon. I wrote a letter to Mother today.

1934. I patched some today. Modest, Ruby, Mary & Somery came a little while this afternoon. I called Kathryn & she said Dad is better.

1935. Stayed at home all day. Nothing happened unusual. I patched some today & read some. I have been nearly sick today. I got a letter from Mother yesterday. I wrote her a letter yesterday also.

MAY 4

1931. Went to school today, Miss. Nannie, Mary and Jasper brought me hoime this afternoon.

1932. Went to school today. Joe, Ernest & I took a little walk tonight. Alline & Mildred came a little while tonight.

1933. Sis and I went to see Modest & Ruby a while this morning. Sis went to see Mary a little while also. We bound my quilt and read some short stories this afternoon.

1934. Sis and I ironed this morning. Amelia came this afternoon. I got a card from Mother today and she said Dad was getting along as well as could be expected. Leona came a little while this morning.

1935. I helped do the house work this morning. Rex, Dock & Sis went to town this afternoon. I started making a new pillar top this afternoon. I got a "Prosperity Club" letter from Mother today. Eula Good sent it to Mother also. Mother sent Sis one of the letters.

MAY 5

1931. Stayed at home today, Uncle Brock & myself washed today. Ernest Scott died last night & will be buried tomorrow at 2:30.

1932. Went to school today, Alline, Christia Lee & I went to town this afternoon. Alline came a little while tonight.

1933. I helped clean up the house and helped get dinner today. I've read some today. Dock and Rex went to town this afternoon . Earl Slaton came a while tonight.

1934. It rained this morning. Rex & I went to town this afternoon & I got some new slippers & a swager suit. We went to Dad's late this afternoon & are going to spend the night. Dad is some better. Aunt Jennie came Wednesday night & is going to stay a week or two with Mother & Dad.

1935. Rex & I went to church at Liberty this morning. It rained today. I took a nap this afternoon.

MAY 6

1931. Went to school today and got out at 12:00 o'clock & went to Ernest Scott's funeral.

1932. Went to school today and came home this afternoon. Mowed some on the yard this afternoon.

1933. Rex & I went to town this afternoon & I went to see Jess a little while, we went to Mother's late this afternoon & spent the night.

1934. Rex went home this morning but I am going to stay a few days. I went to see Uncle Brock a little while today. Hugh Wilbur Curtright & Euel Martin came to see Dad this afternoon. Mr. Hartman came a little while this morning.

1935. I helped do the house work & worked on my pillar top today. It rained today. Rex went to town today. I wrote a letter to Mother.

MAY 7

1931. Went to school today, I made 86 on the Economic Geography test that I took yesterday. Studied some this afternoon.

1932. Stayed at home all day, and studied Physics and Business English some. Mrs. Conley and Raymond came a while this afternoon.

1933. Rex and I spent the day with Mother and Dad and we came home this afternoon.

1934. Dad went to town to the doctor this morning & I went with him. The doctor says he is better. I got a new hat & some hoe's today. Mrs. Melton & Mrs. Ashby came this afternoon.

1935. Kate washed for us today. I wrote some letters this morning. Mr. Slaton & Sis went to town this afternoon. I worked on my pillar top some. Rex went fishing this afternoon. Joe, Albert, John Marion & Rex went fishing tonight.

MAY 8

1931. Went to school today, Christia Lee & myself went down in town at 1:30. Got a letter from Miss Nannie.

1932. Studied Physics some this morning. Cosby came this afternoon. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond came a while tonight.

1933. I have been sick today and we didn't get to wash as we had intended. Amelia & Jim came this afternoon. Leona, Nelia, Cornell & Wiliiam Ross came also.

1934. Uncle Brock brought me home this morning. Sis is house cleaning the Living Room today. I washed the window's & shined the furniture & floor for her this afternoon. Evelyn came a little while this afternoon. Mary & Fletcher came a while tonight.

1935. I finished my pillar top last night. Sis ironed this morning & I patched some. Sis worked on her red striped dress this afternoon and I pieced on a quilt some.

MAY 9

1931. Stayed at home all day & studied my lesson's some.

1932. Came to town this morning & went to school. Alline & I went to town this morning studied a little tonight.

1933. I am a little better today. Rex went to town this morning. Opal James came a little while late this afternoon.

1934. Sis & I washed this morning and we dug up the flower bed this afternoon. Stella & Flectcher came a little while this afternoon.

1935. I ironed today. Sis & I went to Mrs. Merrill's this afternoon and helped quilt some. Mrs. Rigney, Leona & Elizabeth were there also. The quilt is Mrs. Shelton's & we are quilting it for her.

MAY 10

1931. Dad went to Sunday School this afternoon. I aimed to go but Cosby didn't come in time. He came about 4:30.

1932. Went to school today. Alline, Christia Lee and I went to town this afternoon.

1933. I cooked breakfast this morning and helped cook dinner. I worked on my tie quilt some today. I am a lots better today.

1934. I got dinner & cleaned up the house this morning & Sis ironed. Buck James ate dinner with us. Sis & I mowed the yard this afternoon.

1935. I cleaned up the house. Sis is making Elizabeth a skirt. Leona & I went to Mrs. Merrill's & quilted some this afternoon. Leona is nearly sick today.
