March 12

1931. Went to school today, and came home tonight Uncle Brack came after me. I got a letter from Cosby today. 1932. Stayed at home all day & studied for a Physics test which I have Tuesday. I composed a song today the name of it is "our school days." 1933. I cooked breakfast, cleaned up the house and cooked dinner this morning. Rex and I took a walk this afternoon and went over to the Island 1934. I got dinner and cleaned up the house and quilted some this morning. Evelyn came this afternoon and we quilted some. I cooked supper tonight. 1935. Uncle Brock took me to Uncle Rule's this morning & I spent the day with them. Dock came after me this afternoon & I came home.

March 13

1931. Went to school today. and came home this after-noon. I walked home, but I didn't get so tired this time 1932. Stayed at home all day, & studied a while this morning. Cosby came this afternoon. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond came a while tonight. 1933. I cooked breakfast, cleaned up the house and cooked dinner this morning and sewed a little this afternoon. Sis came home this afternoon. 1934. Rex and I washed this morning and I got dinner. I churned today and moped the kitchen and porch. I went to Mrs. Merrill's this afternoon. 1935. Sis went to Aunt Jessie's this afternoon & will stay several days with them. John Marion & Joe came tonight. Dock, John Marion, Rex and Joe played Rook.

March 14

1931. Studied this morning. Mother & myself went to see Mrs. Melton & also Mrs. Kirkwood this afternoon. Dad & Mrs. Melton & Duf. Went to town today. 1932. Came to town this morning and went to school. Wrote a Report on 3 Short Stories tonight. 1933. I mailed a letter to Alline Slaton today. Sis and I went to town this afternoon and I went to Mrs. Mann's. Mother and Dad were there. 1934. I got dinner, cleaned up the house and ironed today. Sis ironed some after she came home from school. I quilted a little late this afternoon. 1935. I ironed today and did the general house work. Jasper came a little while late this afternoon.

March 15

1931. Stayed at home all day & studied a little this morning. Cosby came this afternoon. 1932. Went to school today. Christia Lee & I went to town this afternoon. I got a letter from Cosby today. 1933. Sis and I worked on her quilt a little today and Sis finished making Jess a dress today. Evelyn came this afternoon. 1934. Rex, Dock and Mr. Slaton went to Mr. Pritchett's sale this morning and I went to Jim's. Mr. Clint Caplinger came home with Mr. Slaton and ate dinner with us. I quilted a little this afternoon. 1935. I cleaned up the house, patched some & cut out some quilt pieces for Mother. Lin & Jess came this afternoon & Mrs. Slaton went home with them & will spend the night. Joseph and Earl came tonight.

March 16

1931. Went to school today and came home this afternoon. Studied on my English lesson tonight. 1932. Went to school today. Ernest & I went over to Mrs. Mitchell's a while tonight, Mrs. Mann went to prayer meeting tonight. 1933. Sis and I washed this morning and we sewed some this afternoon. 1934. I cleaned up the house, got dinner and quilted a little this morning, Sis came home a little after eleven, her school was out today. Sis and I quilted this afternoon. I wrote a letter to Mother today. 1935. Rex went to town this morning & Dock went to town this afternoon. I did the general house work today. Mr. Slaton came home late this afternoon.

March 17

1931. Went to school today and came home tonight. Mrs. Kirkwood is sick, she had the doctor today. 1932. Went to school today, we had a test in Shorthand today. Studied some this afternoon. 1933. Sis and I ironed this morning, and I cleaned up the house today. It rained this afternoon. 1934. Sis went to town today to "The Spelling Bee." I cleaned up the house, got dinner, dressed a chicken and made some pies today. I quilted a little also. 1935. I did the general house work today. Joe, June, Basil, Earl & Buck came this afternoon and we played Rook. Basil came tonight. Basil, Rex & I played Rook tonight.

March 18

1931. Went to school today as usual. Studied a little on Economic Geography tonight. Mrs. Kirkwood isn't much better. 1932. Went to school today & came home this afternoon. I made 80 on a Physics test today. Mother, Dad & I went down to Mr. & Mrs. Conley's a little while tonight. 1933. It has rained today and Rex and I didn't get to go to Mother's as we had intended to. Rex and I played Rook tonight. 1934. It snowed some today. Joseph, John Marion and Basil came this afternoon. Dock, Joe, Rex and I played Rook. Dock, John Marion, Basil and I played Rook also. 1935. I got breakfast & helped clean up the house and Sis got dinner. Sis came home this morning. I made me a dust cap today.

March 19

1931. Went to school today, and came home tonight. Studied a little for a Economic Geography test tonight. 1932. Studied some this morning and cleaned up the house this afternoon. Lorene Utley came this afternoon. 1933. Rex and I went to Mother's this morning & spent the day. I went to see Ocie a little while this afternoon. Rex & I took a walk late this afternoon & went down to see the high water. We are going to spend the night with Mother & Dad. 1934. I got breakfast this morning, washed the dishes and helped clean up the house. Sis and I quilted over a reach on my quilt today. Carnell & Elizabeth came a little while this afternoon. Rex helped to move Mr. Will Eldridge back to the farm today. 1935. Sis & I washed this morning. I wrote a letter to Mother today. I read some this afternoon. Sis went to Aunt Patie's this afternoon.

MARCH 20

1931 Went to school today and took a Economic Geography test. came home this afternoon + played the Edison tonight. 1932 Lorene goes home this morning. Cosby came home this afternoon. 1933 Rex went home this morning but i didn't go I am going to stay a few days. Mother and I played Rum tonight 1934 Sis and I washed this morning. Dock helped us a little. Rex went to town with a load of tobacco today. Evelyn and Nora Lee came this afternoon Evelyn, Nora Lee, Sis and I quilted some this afternoon. 1935 Sis + I ironed this morning and I cut out some quilt pieces for Sis this afternoon. Sis went to town this afternoon. I got a letter from mother today.

Sis ironed this morning and I quilted some. Dock & Rex went to Pleasant View this afternoon & I went with them as far as town and got some new slippers and some arch supports. 1935. The Missionary Society put a quilt in at Aunt Patie's Tuesday afternoon and Sis went today & helped quilt. I was sick this morning so I didn't go until this afternoon. I helped quilt some this afternoon.
