February 23

1931. Came to town this morning & listened to Rev. Anderson preach over the Radio. Went to school today. Read the funny papers this afternoon.

1932. Went to school today studied English some tonight.

1933. Sis & I ironed this morning and we worked on my quilt some this afternoon. Len, Lawrence & Jim came a while this afternoon.

1934. I got breakfast, dinner and ironed today. Sis came home this afternoon. Jim came a little while this afternoon.

1935. My cold isn't any better. Dock is some better. Joseph, Ruby and Jim came this afternoon. Sis went to town this afternoon. Rex went to town this morning.

February 24

1931. Went to school today. Studied on English this afternoon. Mrs. Mann went to teachers meeting tonig-ht [tonight]. Ernest & myself stayed at home.

1932. Went to school today, and studied a little tonight. I got a letter from Cosby today.

1933. Sis and I worked on my quilt some today. Fletcher came a little while this afternoon. Elizabeth is a good deal better today.

1934. I got breakfast, washed the dishes, helped clean up the house and patched some today. Earl and John Marion ate dinner with us. It has snowed all day. Sis and I put in a comfort this afternoon. Rex and I went to Aunt Jessie's tonight and are going to spent the night with them. Joseph is going to spend the night with Mr. Slaton, Sis and Dock.

1935. Mr. & Mrs. Rigney, Loyd, Modest, Ruby, Jasper, John Marion, Fletcher, Stella and Buck James come this afternoon. Dock is some better today.

February 25

1931. Went to school today. Ernest called up Christia Lee & told her it was Rolland. Mrs. Mann went to prayer meeting tonight.

1932. Went to school today. I made 100 on English today. Studied some this afternoon and listened to the radio tonight.

1933. It rained last night & today and we didn't get to go to town as we had intended. Sis and I worked on my quilt some today. Rex & I played Rook tonight.

1934. It rained last night and the ground is covered in ice this morning. Rex and I spent the day at Aunt Jessie's and came home this afternoon. Nora Lee was here when we got home. Sis went home with her and is going to spend the night and Albert will take them to school tomorrow. They are going to stay down there this week so they won't come home until Friday.

1935. I wrote a letter to Mother today. Dock is some better. My cold is better. Sis school was out today. Buck James ate dinner with us. Mr. Walter Merrill came this afternoon. Jim & Basil came a little while today also. Rex & I played Rook tonight.

February 26

1931. Went to school today and to Prayer Meeting tonight. Mr. Melton led the meeting. Ah! how I dread E. Geography test tomorrow.

1932. Went to school today and came home this afternoon. I made 87 on a Business English test today.

1933. Sis, Rex & I went to church this morning. Aunt Cora Robertson died this afternoon. Sis went to town late this afternoon and is going to spend the night.

1934. I got breakfast, dinner and supper and cleaned up the house today. Earl came this afternoon. Earl, Dock, Rex and I played Rook. I got a letter from Mrs. Greer and also one from Mary. Jim came a little while this afternoon also.

1935. I got breakfast this morning & helped clean up the house & Sis got dinner. I wrote a card to Mother today. Rex went to town today. Buck James ate dinner with us. I patched some today also. Dock is some better. My cold is better. It snowed some today.

February 27

1931. Went to school today. Uncle Brock came to town in the wagon but I didn't go home with him. Mrs. Mann is sick tonight. 1932. Studied some today. I got a letter from B. F. Osburn today. Dad and I went to see Mr. & Mrs. Conley a little while tonight. 1933. We all went to Aunt Cora Robertson funeral & burying at Browder's this afternoon. I cooked breakfast & also dinner today. Sis came home this afternoon. 1934. I got breakfast dinner and supper today. I wrote a letter to Mother today. Leona, Elizabeth and June came a little while this afternoon. 1935. Sis went to the missionary meeting at Mrs. Merrill's today but I didn't feel well so I didn't go. My cold doesn't feel much better. Basil [?] & I played Rook this morning. Rex, Joseph, John played & I played Rook.

February 28

1931. Ernest & myself cook breakfast this morning, Mrs. Mann is some better. Came home this morning about 12 o'clock. 1932. Stayed at home all day. Cosby came this afternoon. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond came a while tonight. 1933. Sis and I washed this morning & we worked on my quilt a little this afternoon. Elizabeth came home from the hospital today. Len, Lawrence & Chesley Davis came a while this afternoon. 1934. I got breakfast, dinner and churned today. Jasper spent the day with us. Leona, Elizabeth and Carnell came this afternoon and we played Rook. Carnell & I got beat every game. Buck James came tonight. Buck, Rex, Dock and I played Rook. 1935. Kate washed for us today. I got breakfast & Sis got dinner & supper. I have been nearly sick today. Carl & Buck ate dinner with us. Sis ironed this afternoon. Dock is better. He set up a few minutes today.

February 27

1931. Stayed at home all day. Mother & myself sang some tonight, and I read four Chapter's in the Bible. 1932. Went to school today. I wrote a letter to Cosby and also one to Lorene. Studied a little this afternoon. 1933. Sis and I ironed this morning. Jess, Lawrence, Mrs. Hill and her baby came this afternoon. 1934. I cleaned up the house, got breakfast and dinner today. I have read some today also. 1935. I got breakfast this morning, ironed & helped clean up the house, and Sis got dinner. Buck James ate dinner with us. Dock is better. He set up some today. My cold is better.
