APRIL 11

1931. Mother and myself went to Uncle Rufe's today, we had a real nice time. Dad stayed at home all day.

1932. Came to town this morning & went to school. Alline came this afternoon & we studied English. Studied some tonight.

1933. Sis and I ironed this morning and I read some and worked on my quilt a little this afternoon.

1934. I finished making my dress but Sis helped me a good deal. Leona, Elizabeth, Cornell & Nealie came this afternoon. Elizabeth, Leona, Cornell & I played Rook. Sis played some also.

1935. I did the general house work, churned and made some soap this morning. I went to Leona's this afternoon & helped quilt some. Our missionary society has a quilt in at Leona's.

APRIL 12

1931. Mr. & Mrs. Melton, Bonnie and Robert spent the day with us. Odie, Ruby & Bailey came a little while, Cosby came also.

1932. Went to school today. Alline, Christia Lee & I went to town this afternoon. Alline came a while tonight & we studied.

1933. I helped do the house work this morning and cleaned part of the yard this afternoon.

1934. I found my quilt today. Sis set her Star quilt together.

1935. I made a cake, did the general house work, made some soap and wrote a letter to Mother today.

APRIL 13

1931. Cosby & myself went to church at town last night. I went to school today. Ernest is sick today.

1932. Went to school today & came home this afternoon. Don't have to go to school any more this week on account of K.E.A.

1933. Sis, Mr. Slaton & I went to town this morning and I got a new hat and coat. Sis and I put one of my quilts in the frames this afternoon.

1934. I cut out some pieces for my tie quilt today.

1935. I did the general house work this morning. Rex and I went to town this afternoon and I went to see Jess a little while.

APRIL 14

1931. Went to school today, I am nearly sick today, Ernest is some better.

1932. I went over to Lorene's this afternoon & spent the night with her. Vera, Mary Francis, Ada, Alline, Laura Blanche and I were all there.

1933. Sis went to town a little while this morning. I quilted a little on my quilt today.

1934. Sis went to town today. I got dinner, washed my head & washed the dog today. Rex & I went to Earl's tonight and we played Rook.

1935. Rex and I spent the day with Mother & Dad. The two youngest Polley boys spent the day also. Rex & I went to see Uncle Brock a little while this afternoon. Rex, Mother, Dad & I played Rook tonight. We will spend the night.

APRIL 15

1931. Went to school today. Don't have to go to school any more this week on account of K.E.A. I just made 80 in English this month.

1932. Came home this morning, Ada came with me & spent the day. The other girls came about 5 o'clock & spent the night.

1933. It has rained all day and Rex and I didn't get to go to Mother's as we had intended. I quilted on my quilt some today.

1934. Rex & I went to Pond River church this morning and heard a man preach that was formed in India. Earl, Basil, June, William Ross, Stella, Fletcher, Loyd, Charles, B.J. Joseph, John Marion and Buch all came this afternoon.

1935. Rex & I spent last night with Mother & Dad & we went to town this morning. I got a permanent wave today. Rex & I came home this afternoon.

APRIL 16

1931. Stayed at home all day didn't do anything much except study a little on my notes. English & wrote some Bible

1932. We all spent the day with Alline today, & spent the night with Blanche.

1933. Rex and I went to Mother's this morning and spent the day. We took a walk this afternoon. We will spend the night also.

1934. Dock, Rex, Sis & I cleaned out the hen house this morning. I got dinner & churned this morning also. Sis and I cleaned part of the yard this afternoon. Aunt Bonnie & Edward came a little while this afternoon.

1935. Sis & I washed today. Rex helped us wash a few pieces. I moped the porch & kitchen & helped Rex take up some potatoes out of the hill this afternoon.

APRIL 17

1931. Stayed at home all day, studied English a little. Dad went to town today & carried some hens.

1932. Came home this morning. It rained some this afternoon & Cosby didn't come. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond cam a little while this afternoon.

1933. Rex and I went to town this morning and I spent the day with Mrs. Mann. Rex and I came home this afternoon.

1934. Sis & I washed this morning & I did my part of the ironing this afternoon. I got a letter from Mother today.

1935. Sis ironed this morning & I ironed a few pieces. Lawrence came & brought Sis car & ate dinner with us. Buck James ate dinner with us also. Sis, Lawrence & I went to town this afternoon.

APRIL 18

1931. Stayed at home this morning. Ocie & Baby came a while this afternoon, Cosby & Erdine came tonight & we went to church.

1932. Came to town this morning & went to school. Ada, Alline & I went to town this afternoon. Studied some tonight.

1933. We washed this morning and I have quilted some this afternoon.

1934. I went to see Mrs. Denton this morning. She is a little better. Sis & I finished cleaning the yard this afernoon. We mowed part of the yard also.

1935. I finished ironing this morning. Jim came this afternoon. Dad came this afternoon also & will spend the night with us. Sis went to Mrs. Merrill's this afternoon. She went to Jim's a little while also.

APRIL 19

1931. Cosby came this morning to take me to church but I didn't go. Erdine, Cosby & myself ained to go to church tonight but it rained to hard.

1932. Went to school today. Alline, Christia Lee & I went to town this afternoon. I went to see Alline tonight, a little while & we studied some.

1933. Sis went to town today. I cooked dinner and ironed. Leona and Elizabeth came this afternoon.

1934. Sis & I went to Providence today & spent the day this Raymond & Lola. Mr. & Mrs. Childres & Rudell & aunt Jennie spent the day also. I spent the night with aunt Jennie, Odie & J. D. came to Raymond's a little while tonight.

1935. Dad went home this morning. I went to Jim's this afternoon. Mrs. John, Denton, Mrs. Claud Denton and Mrs. Claud Denton's mother came also. I went with them and Amelia to see Lanna a little while.

APRIL 20

1931. Went to school today nothing happened unusual.

1932. Went to school today. Went home with Fannie Maye this afternoon to spend the night with her.

1933. Fletch, Stella, Mary, Sis and Stella's brother went to Louisville today. They will stay several days. I cleaned up the house and cooked dinner today. Ruby came this afternoon.

1934. Aunt Jinnie & I spent the day with Mae. Ruth & a little girl & I went to Earl's a little whule this morning. Aunt Jennie & I went to see Odie a little while this afternoon. Ruby's mother is sick so Ruby & Bailey have gone to see her. Sis came to aunt Jennie's after me this afternoon & we came home.

1935. Sis wen to town this morning. I got dinner & cleaned up the house. Rex & Dock went to town this afternoon. I pieced on my quilt some this afternoon. Earl came tonight.
