MARCH 24

1931. Went to school today. Came home this afternoon and studied my Economic Geography tonight. Mrs Kirkwood isn't much better.

1932. Went to school today, Alline Slaton & I typed a little while after school. Studied a little tonight.

1933. Mr. Slaton is 79 years old today. Lin & Jess spent the day with us. Jess, Sis and I pieced on Sis quilt this afternoon.

1934. We had a surprise birthday dinner for Mr. Slaton today. He was 80 years old. Cousin Herb, Lin, Jess, Lanna, baby, Nora Lee, Evelyn, Joseph, John Marion, Albert, Jim, Loyd, Jasper, Modest and Ruby all came.

1935. Mr. Slaton is 81 years old today. Loyd, Modest, Ruby, Jasper, Jim, Amelia, Albert, John Marion, Joseph, Nora Lee, Evelyn, Lanna, B.J., Bobby, Jess, Lawrence and Cousin Herb Slaton came today. Lanna, B.J. and Bobby are going to spend the night with us.

MARCH 25

1931. Went to school today, came home this afternoon & studied on my Economic Geography final. We have it tomorrow.

1932. Went to school today & came home this afternoon. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond came a little while tonight.

1933. Sis annd I worked on her quilt some today.

1934. Sis and I went to Sunday School & church at Browder's this morning. Rex, Loyd and Jasper went to Pleasant View. Joseph, Buck, Rex & I played Rook this afternoon.

1935. Lanna, B.J. and Bobby went home this morning. Rex and Sis washed today and I got dinner. I am nearly sick today. It has rained nearly all day & we had to the clothes in the house. I got a letter from Mother today and she said Alyene has a new baby.
