To the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Fort Worth in Common Council assembled;
Gentlemen:-
We, the undersigned citizens and taxpayers, residents of the Fifth and Seventh Wards, respectively, represent that the M. K. & T. R.R. of Texas, has constructed side tracks on the East Side of their main line close to and parallel with Arizona Ave., between Violet and Leuda Streets, for the purpose of letting their engines stand upon to have the fires cleaned and for other purposes to your petitioners unknown. Such cleaning of fires is accompanied by the blowing out of engines and of escaping steam and coal, smoke and an accumlation of hot cinders, to the great annoyance and serious discomfort of your petitioners, their families and all persons resident in or passing through the neighborhood. Your petitioners further represent that the carrying on of this business is in all respects a nuisance and request your Honorable Body to have it abated as such.
