We your Committee on Finance recommend That the City Secertary be instructed to draw a warrant on the street water fund in favor of The Virginia Bridge & Iron Co. for the sum of $2491.22 same being balance of sum assigned to said Company by L.S. Leversedge & Co on Viaduct contract

Resolved, that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare plans and specifications for an addition of two brick rooms to the Sixth Ward school building to cost not to exceed four thousand dollars and at proportions to advertise for bids for the erection of same.

Be it further resolved_ that in order to relieve the present congestion in the sixth ward school. the school committee be authorized to rent a building of such size as may be necessary and as may be obtainable to be used as a temporary school building.
