Whereas The Hon.T.J.Powell, persistently importuned the city council to inaugerate the deep well supply which has now been demonstrated a success, therefore Be it resolved, in recognition of his honest work and success in securing for Fort Worth a pure Artesian Water supply that the deep well shaft just completed be hereafter known and is hereby named"Thos J.Powell shaft No.I."
