1970 Sat. To store, mild. Dell called up, with zerada, Burlah and Bretha to R.C.I to hear David Hogg on radio adtronomy and to Helen's reception.

1971 Sun. Very cold. To church. Apollp 14 blast off on TV. To Hugh's for dinner

[p.37] February 1 1969 Sat. Went out to get globe. Dry and cold. To Hugh's for dinner - lovely time. Hugh called for me.

1970 Sun. To church - very fine seremonJohn 13: 4-5 Hugh et all for supper - very good time. Hugh looked at photostats. Saw Bertha and H. Carpenter. Mild.

1971 Mon. Wrote letters, called up robin H. and Bertha. Book group - Francess and I spoke - great crowd. Very good time. Very cold.

[p.38] February2 1969 Sun. To church - Da. House spoke on Anti - semitism, radio. Finished Paula's sweater. Donald called up - to be married.

1970 Mon. rained, washed and ironed sheets, Anne called up. Book group - I spoke on stark and [murphy]. Lorraine there and for dinner. Very good time.

1971 Tues. Very cold, wrote article "Faces of Death". To Bertha's for lunch and went over folders for trip. Very good time. Radio on Stokowski.

[p.39] February 3 1969 Mon. Snowing. Washed curtains and bath mat. Called Beulah. To book group at club - Ethel Chapman, Mrs. Canen and Mrs. Wood drove me home. Very good.

1970 Tues. Very cold, to bank and library. To Mr. Davidson at press - I am to transcribe al notes in [Empire and Communication.]

1971 Wed. Downtown on errands. To bank and library. Not quiet so cold. TV - " The Price" - Arthur Miller.

[p.40] February 4 1969 Tues. Very cold. Shopped. Wrote short pieces for Observer, knitted, radio.

1970 Wed. Very cold, downtown and to Queen's printer for Anne. Anne and Lorraine called up. Worked on Empire and Communication.

1971 Thu. Very cold and windy. High called up. Bertha and I to University Travel Tours to plan trip.
