1970 Wed. 12 below 0 at malton. To store, trilby cold. Letter from Mary. Anne phoned.

1971 Thurs. Tanya cleaned. To University of Toronto library, snowing. Wrapped B.P.P. books. Saw "African Queen" on TV.

[p. 27] January 22 1969 Wed. Got volks. out and to Vancouver. Mary, Kip and I had lunch at Oakridge. Bright sun. Got plane reservation.

1970 Thurs. 10 below zero. Tanya cleaned. I to store, bank and library, sunny tho cold. Helen Hogg called up.

1971 Fri. To store. Milder. By bus to Waterloo. Ian met me. Saw " Fosythe Saga" and talked

[p.28] January 23 1969 Thurs. Mary and I to lunch at Tennis club with Ursula, Audrey and Christine - very cold, to top of Georgia tower and trader Vic's. Dinner at Hopkins.

1970 Fri. Packed and to Kitchener on bus. Anne met me. Anne and Ian to reception. Talked.

1971 Sat. Colder. Shopped. Anne's birthday gifts, Hugh baked Anne's Cake, fudge and tarts. Played new game.

[p.29] January 24 1969 Fri. Very cold, bright. Mary and I to new west to see Bruce's apartment houses and to freezer lockers. Bruce Jr. playing table tennis tournament. Saw " Rachel, Rachel".

1970 Sat. To store and got velvet to make Mary a skirt. Others to Guelph rink to play hockey. Saw "Marriage - Italian style" on TV.

1971 Sun. Sunny. Anne, Ian and I to S.S. class. Anne and Ian at badminton. Bay, Mary and I played games. Came home on bus.

[p.30] Anne January 25 1969 Sat. Cold, bright sun, finished Sally's sweater. Rest to tennis lessons.

1970 Sun. To church class. Anne's birthday gifts. Anne and Ian played badminton. Bus home, rain and sleet, horrible night.

1971 Mon. Bright, to post office with copies of C.P.R. for Mary and Ed. Loraine called up. Letter fro Wendy.
