[p.11] January 6 1969 Mon. Rain. School started.Sewed on Ellain's dress. Bruce Jr. flew in from Los Angeles.

1970 Tues. Had my hair done. Mailed books. Anne called up. Harris and Watkins came to see me re [Comm.] manuscripts. Cold and bright.

1971 Wed. Very cold. To save the children for wool. Made bran muffins. Anne called. Rented TV delivered.

[p.12] January 7 1969 Tues. All to school. Sunshine. Mary and I to Kennedy's and to Bruce's office.

1970 Wed. Very cold. Mailed letters. Worked on Book group speech. Radio - Payzant on Keys in music. Weekends and Harris came to see me.

1971 Thur. To bank, very cold. Sent money order to [Iostah]. Card from Donald. Washed clothes.

[p. 13] January 8 1969 Wed. Mary to her French group and then took me to lunch with 5 friends at Vancouver Tennis Club. Lovely party. Heavy snow.

1970 Thur. 0 o To bank and library. Wrote letters. Read life of A. Huxley. Mended. Washed clothes.

1971 Fri. To store. Wrote letters. Lorraine called up. Saw " Bridge on River Kwai" on TV.

[p.14] January 9 1969 Thu. Worked on Ellain's corduroy pumper. Letter from Anne.

1970 Fri. Anne called up. WEnt to store. Typed speech on stark and Murphy. Letter from Donald. Very cold.

1971 Sat. Shopped and to drug store. Milder but still cold. Heard " Orpheus and Eurydice"

[p.15] January 10 1969 Fri. Heavy snow. Bruce came home from Los Angeles driving very bad, all to University tennis lessons, tea with Mrs. Cates.

1970 Sat. Sunny and cold. [crossed over]Heard Dr. Lawson on 143.[crossed over] Cough medicine. Read and knitted and radio.

1971 Sun. Donald called up - back from India. To church. Saw Beitha. Called up Anne and Hugh.
