[p. 16] January 11 1969 Sat. Heavy snow, unable to get out. Mary and I looked at my swan tour pictures.

1970 Mon. Lourraine called. Knitted and sorted papers. Snowing. Dr. Lawson on 143.

1971 Mon. Had my hair done. Lorraine called up. Letters from George F. and Rick Davidson. Wrote letters.

[p. 17] January 12 1969 Sun. Couldn't get to church. To boys' tennis lesson and drove to museum. Gorgeous sunset. To Chinese dinner - Peking duck.

1970 Mon. Snowing hard. Washed sheets and ironed them. Letter from Mary.

1971 Tues. Very cold., 4 o. Downtown and got plates and panties for Anne's birthday. Baked bran muffins. Donald called up.

[p. 18] January 13 1969 Mon. Waded to box with letters, snow, hail, lightning. Sally flew up to Guides and Ellan made patrol leader. Mary and I to symphony - Entremont piano

1970 Tues. Cold. To Lorraine for lunch and dinner, stayed while L. took Jenny to the doctor.

1971 Wed. Very cold and windy. Took Eleanor Woodside to lunch at Sempsons. Shopped on way home. Went over preface for E. and C.

[p.19] January 14 1969 Tues. Letter from Donald from Istanbul. Snowing. Unable to get car out. Knitted and we talked. Mary and Ellan to C.G.I.G.[Consultative Grain Industry Group?]

1970 Wed. Quick trip downtown. Very cold. With Leona Farrill and Helen to Zonta dinner - Helen spoke. Very good time.

1971 Thu. Cold and sleety. Franciss Halpenny for lunch at club. Very good time. Shopped on way home.

[p.20] January 15 1969 Wed. Heavy snow, shovelled. To Guildford - bad driving. Got wool for Sally's sweater. Power off all evening in dark

1970 Thu. Very cold. Potted hyacinth bulbs. To library. Donald came for an hour on his way to Ottawa.

1971 Fri. Cold and windy. To club talk by Eaton's Man on Consumers. Lunch with Bea Cassidy and she drove me home. Wendy and Donald came. Talked and talked.
