1970 Tues. Mild, rain. To bank and library. Had my hair done. Finished galley proofs. Worked on Empire and Communication. Snow.

1971 Wed. To bank, store and library. Cold and windy. Wrote letters. Lorraine called up.

1970 Wed. Very Windy and cold. Took sweaters and layettes to save the children. Worked on Empire and Communication. [Anne] calls from Ottawa. Anne called up. Letters from Mary.

1971 Thu. Lunch at club with Zerada, her sister, Bertha, Mrs. Marriott etc. Very nice. Milder. Zerada drove me.

[p.48] Febryary 12 1969 Wed. Rugs taken to be cleaned. To [Anne] and P. Hugh called up. Washed bathroom flooor. Sewed squares.

1970 Thu. Cold. To Lorraine's and kept children while she at doctor. By taxi to King Edward - meting of directors of Innis [Corporation] - Frye, Biggs, Chiasson. Pain in back.

1971 Fri. Waterloo, took taxi.\Rain and snow. Saw Laugh In and Tory Convention. Hugh made aple pie and fudge.

1970 Fri. Pain gradually improved. Worked all day on Empire and Communication. Cold, letter from Donald and Valentine. Anne called up.

1971 Sat. Shopped at Zeh's. Very cold. Hugh shovelled snow. Anne to Scottish dancing.
