Clear Ther. 73 WED. JUNE 15th, 1892 Wind NW. & SE

Another warm day but such a fine breeze all day that we did not feel it as much as yesterday. I drove to "Marden" to see Mrs R R Moore on business. " Phil went with me. After supper Willie drove "Fritz" to "Brighton" was called up after going to bed to go to Gideon Gilpins to see "Louisa" (his daughter) home before midnight. Wrote to Mr Williamson at Frederick City to go by the early mail tomorrow morning.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther. 74 THURSDAY 16th, Wind Variable

Quite cloudy until 10.o'clk when it cleared off very hot. & I fully expected a "gust" this afternoon but it did not come. I drove down to see "Jack Johnson " at Corneleu's Leizear's "Phil" with me. & afterwards drove up to "Marden's" to see R R Moore but he had gone again, but I had a satesfactory settlement with Mrs Moore Edwd went with me. W went over to Riverside for some potatoes before dinner driving "Fritz". Mr Walters (tax collector was here. I mailed a letter to Mr Williamson at Frederick. by the early mail.

Clear & "Foggy" Ther. 75 FRI. JUNE 17th, 1892 Wind S.E.

Still hot. nice S E breeze. Was called out of bed last night by Prof. C M Stabler to prescribe for P T Stabler's son "Morris". suffering with "tooth ache". Mr B.D. Palmer called to see about School matters. "Mary" wife of Warwick P Miller died today, after a brief but painful illness. She was a superior woman & her loss will be a great blow to her family & many friends. We had a thunder gust about 5.o'clk p.m which gave us a nice shower but was not at all violent. W went with E Gilpin to a "baseball" at Highland, and after supper he drove "Fritz" to Brighton. I went to see "Cy" Grady and prescribed for him.

Clear & Cloudy. Ther. 75o SATURDAY 18th, Wind S E

Very hot day. I drove to Ashton after dinner. W went to S S store to help them all day. Clifford being away. drove to Ashton again after dinner to see Mr Evans, who sent for me. E went with me. We held a meeting of the Board of School Trustees in my office this morning & decided to engage our teacher. We had a "thunder gust" pass South & north of us about 3 pm & another after dark of which we had a share & it still is not through with at bed time.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther. 75. SUN. JUNE 19, 1892 Wind S.E.

Very hot even with a fine breeze. It was quite cloudy early After dinner I walked over to John C. Bentley's. to see him on a little business matter. Willie drove "Fritz" to Brighton Church. Mary M Miller wife of Warwick P Miller was buried at 5.o'clock this afternoon, it looked so threatning of a "gust" & was so extremely hot we did not attend the funeral. "Black" Charley Hill was here to see me about "tooth ache" I slept little or none last night, & have suffered greatly from the heat today. The hot sun was too much for me in my walk to J Bentley's

Clear. Ther 71o MONDAY, 20th, Wind

We had a splendid rain last night commencing at 11.o'clk: it came without any storm or violence. and has cooled the air. Willie drove "Frank" to Rockville and paid my note to "Williamson" for $61.96 at the Montgomery National Bank, he returned about 4.o'clk p.m. It is still very hot weather.

Clear Ther. 75o TUES. 21st. 1892 Wind.

Clear & beautiful weather. I drove to "Rockville" to the monthly meeting of the Medical Society, at which I read an "Essay" upon the "Importance of Fraternal Relations between General Practioners and "Honerable Specialists". Willie went with me. Ruth Anna Bowen was here to consult me.

Cloudy & Clearing. Ther. 75o WEDNESDAY 22d, Wind.

Cloudy until towards noon when it cleared off hot again. Willie went into the store to take Clifford's place for today, C going to Baltimore. Rained several showers last night.

Cloudy Ther.77o Thurs. June 23d ,1892 Wind

[I] "Close" & hot, early this morning was glad to hear by telegraph that "Cleveland" was nominated at Chicago about 3- 30 this a.m. Mrs Robt Harding here & had tooth extracted. Edwd Johnson, son of Jas: Johnson from Bone Mill was here for advice & medicine. Drove to Ashton for medicines, Willlie took "Frank" & Henderson's cart, & brought us 120 lbs of old hay from Downey's. Shower & light thundergust about 3.30 p.m.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther.77. Friday 24 Wind

A very hot day. Willie worked all day with F Leizear building a stable for Ed Gilpin. Afternoon & drove to Ashton to prescribe for Mr Evans again. Threatened thunder gust which passed very close North of us after dark.

ClearTher.75 SAT. JUNE 25, 1892 Wind N.W.

Beautiful morning with fine breeze from N.W. We had some rain last night but not much , a heavy storm passed north of us. Chas. Addison (colored) was here for advice & medicine. Also Alcina Hill also here after supper. F. Tyson arrived from Balto: Millstead seanding him up from Laurel. he arrived just after we were done supper.

Clear Ther.68 Sunday 26th Wind S.E.

Delightfully cool & pleasant this morning. I drove down to Elesabeth Johnson's (colored) to prescribe for her daughter Sarah "Phil" with me. Willie took F Tyson to "Spring Dale" Elson & Grove Hill where he left him & I came for him & brought him home with me. & he drove "Frank" on to "Marden to dinner .

Cloudy Ther. 76. MON. JUNE 27th, 1892 Wind E.

Thunder gust passed close to us to the North of us - before breakfast. F. Tyson left in the early stage. I feel miserable, having taken cold. sitting out on the porch last night with F. Tyson. Willie worked all day at Ned Gilpin's stable. Louisa Bowen "washed" for H. Another thunder gust towards evening, with heavy rain lasting until about sunset, when it cleared off. Jas T Henderson commenced digging another well for the mill between the saw mill & his house the one under the mill having "caved in!. & he filled sit up, as being dangerous.

Clear Ther 69 TUESDAY 28th, Wind

Clear & cooler. W worked at E Gilpin's stable all day. Mrs: Ent was here this morning for advice & medicine. I worked at enlarging grape trellis and fixing ice house doors etc. After supper Willie cut the grass on the little meeting house lot: and about dark drove one of Ned Gilpin's horses to our "Surry" to E Peirce's. to take Fanny to Laurel tomorrow morning. on her way to "Medford" Mass "to be gone until September."

Clear Ther. 65o WED. JUNE 29th 1892 Wind N.W.

Clear & cool. Levi Hopkin's was here for advice & med for his wife. before breakfast. Chas: E Bond was also here to consult me for himself. Willie came home about noon from "Laurel". where he took F Peirce this morning. Afternoon Fanny Snowden ("Frank's wife) brought her infant "Miriam" to consult me & I lanced its gums & gave her some medicine. Sally Chandlee called at supper time. Willie worked all the afternoon at the new stable for Ned Gilpin, & after supper hauled a cart load of hay from the meeting house lot.

Clear & Cloudy Ther. 68o THURSDAY 30th, Wind Variable

Warmer weather to day, and at noon we has a heavy thundergust and at 3-30 afternoon there came up another, and continued until near tea time: the rainfall was quite heavy from both. I used the double shovel plow in breaking up again a piece of ground in the lot "Phil" helping me: the boys "planted its in sugar corn.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther. 8o Fri. July, 1st 1892 Wind Variable

Rained several showers last night. I was sent for early this a.m. to dress old Mr Oldfield's hands arms & face, burned by an accident with a coal oil stove. W went to work again with F Leizear Sr: at Gilpin's stable. Ned Gilpin takes the stage & mail route this morning from P Connell. having bought the entire stage outfit from Connell.

Cloudy Ther 70o Saturday 2d Wind. Variable

Cloudy & close this morning with sunshine hot occasionally. I went to Oldfield's & dressed the old mans burns again. Willie worked at Gilpins stable again. After supper he drove "Frank" to Mr Muncaster's and is to go tomorrow morning to Rockville for Hannah Archer, who is to spend the 4th with us. He hauled up from the "little meeting house" the ballance of the hay we had cut there. Edwd &"the boys" helping him.

Clear Ther. 70o Sun July 3d Wind Variable

Clear & cloudy. " Rev: Brook's " was here for advice & medicine for his infant about 11-30 last night. The wind commenced blowing from S.W. with violence about 10.o'clk this morning & continued increasing in force almost to a hurricane doing damage to trees etc. Willie & Hannah Archer arrived from Rockville about 12.30.

"Lilly Awkard" colored cook from Estelle Moore's was here for advice & med for her infant. Towards evening we had a heavy rain storm with thunder & lightning another very heavy storm passed past north of us. The wind has injured our shade trees, breaking of many large branches.

Clear & Cloudy Ther 65o Monday 4th Wind. Variable.

Much cooler to day. Willie worked again at Gilpin's barn with T Leizear Sr: I took Dora & Hannah Archer to call at "Eldon" & Homewood. Joshua Gilpins wife (Sarah Ann) was buried today at the "meeting house". Alice Peirce came over: & she & Dora & Hannah walked over to the "grave yard". Afternoon Alcinda Johnson Susan Davis, &: Elijah Leizera & wife were here the latter to have a "shell" of a tooth with strong roots extracted. I tried to extract it (after objecting). & broke it. & sent her over to Mahlon Kirk's.
