the Potomac at "White's Ferry" (6 miles), from White's Ferry to Leesbrug (4 miles) taking the left hand road after crossing the river (or down stream) about 1 1/4 miles from Ferry you come to "Point of Rock's" Road there turn to the left & straight out on to Court House at Leesbrug - the first street beyond court house turn to the right & follow the pike to "Hamilton". there enquire for "Lincoln" Chas: M Iddings gives the forgoing directions.
