Cloudy Ther. 30o SAT. NOV. 26, 1892 Wind S.E. I awakened with a head ache having been troubled with gass escaping from the stove in our room during the night I wlaked up to the store about noon. Alice and Fanny Peirce called afternoon. My head has ached all day. Bessie Robison helped E develop some pictures after supper. E & I walked up to the store in the evening (late) for some oat meal, buckwheat & c.

Cloudy Ther. 31 SUNDAY 27th Wind S.E. Chilly & "raw" all day. Bro: Richard called on way to meeting & left little Henry Lea here until after meeting, when he went home with Edwd Thomas' people. Afternoon "Phil rode "Frank" horse for excercise. An Irishman called for "something to eat". walking to Balto from Washington.

Cloudy Ther. 36o MON. NOV. 28, 1892 Wind S.E. Still dull chilly weather I was about house all day except up at the mill for Horse Feed. Jas Grady's boy shot a genuine fox squirrel in Bentleys woods near Oldfields stable. the finest I ever saw in this neighborhood or indeed in this County. Mrs: Robison took tea with us.

Cloudy Snow & Rain Ther. TUESDAY 29 Wind N.E. Snowing quite fast early this morning turning to rain & trying to clear off later in afternoon. Alice & Fanny Peirce came over the latter remaining to attend at lecture at the Lyceum in the evening. I walked up to the store Rebecca or "Becky"Lincoln was here for me to draw up pension papers for her.

Cloudy & Colder Ther 30 o WED. NOV. 30th, 1892 Wind NW Bro Chas came for me & I rode over to Riverside to prescribe for Bro: Richard. I remained there until after dinner. "Jim" Powell was here to consult me. Ruth Ann Bowen sent her sister "Martha" for advice & medicine. Dora & Fanny Peirce walked over to call upon Mrs Downey. Late in the evening Mr Chester Colt came & I extracted a tooth for him.

Clear Ther. 30o THURSDAY, DEC. 1st Wind N.W. Bro: Chas: came for me again to go to see Bro: R. I rode over on horseback again & home to dinner. Alice Peirce came over this morning and went back without Fanny. Dora & Fanny called to see Hallie Bentley & at "Auburn".

Clear Ther. 32o FRI. DEC. 2d, 1892 Wind N.W. I walked up to the store & toll gate. Elizabeth Platt Waters was here for advice & medicine for her little boy. Fanny Peirce walked home before dinner. Frank Snowden called & left some "scrapple" his wife had sent us. Edwd Gilpin (of Geileon) was here to consult me again towards evening, Jas: Grady was here for advice & medicine for his infant son, about 9. o' clk p.m.

Clear Ther. 36o SATURDAY 3d Wind N.W. Clearing weather but warmer. Jas: Henderson & wife went to Balto. to do some "fall shopping" expecting to return this evening by moonlight. Louisa Bowen was here for advice & medicine for herself. Mrs Gilbert Smith brought my medicine case from Riverside where I left it when last there (on thursday). Afternoon Sister Lizzie called. Dora & Edwd walked over to "Scott's" & to see about a "wash woman". After supper Edwd and i walked up to the store. Charles Stabler called at the gate on return from Rockville & left my fee $(1.00) for attendance as witness.

Clear & Cloudy 32o Ther. SUN. DEC. 4th Wind Variable I feel quite unwell to day, and have had considerable pain and soreness in the region of the spleen besides head aches. We had a very quiet Sunday all to ourselves. Harriet, dora, Edwd & myself comprising the family. H read aloud a long story from the "St Nicholas" Edwd having a heavy cold cannot be much out of doors.

Clear Ther. 30o MONDAY 5th Wind N.W. Beautiful winter morning. I am feeling rather better, but still far from as well as usual. Paid F. Downey for the milk to the first of this month. Saw him in the mill office & paid him there. After dinner I rode "Frank" to Rodney Boswell's and called to see M. K. Evans on my return. Alice & Fanny Peirce called whilst I was absent.

Cloudy, Rain & Clearing Ther. 32o TUES. DEC. 6th, 1892 Wind Variable Commenced raining about 10. o'clk this morning & continued until afternoon when it cleared off. Jno: W Johnson was here and borrowed the wheel barrow. After noon Clifford dislocated his right shoulder (head of humar and down into the axilla) I was sent for & took him to Gideon Gilpins and reduced it, and "put it up" nicley in a sling. Marjory Clark washed for H.

Cloudy & Clearing Ther. 37o WEDNESDAY 7th Wind Variable Cloudy early this morning & cleared off before dinner making a beautiful day. I worked at putting up shelves in the pantry & c. Afternoon Alice Peirce walked over to spend he night. P.J. Stabler was hee for advice for his son "Morris". M.K. Evans sent for medicine ("zinc wash")

Cloudy 36o Ther. THURS. DEC. 8th, 1892 Wind S.W. & N.W. Cloudy & rainy from midnight last until noon to day when the wind drew around to West & N.W. but continues cloudy, windy & threatening up to bed time tonight. I finished putting up shelves in the pantry. Phil rode "Frank" over to John's shanty. John came at 3-30 p.m. & drove "Frank" to the "Surry" taking Dora to Riverside to an evening party & to spend the night they took alice Peirce home before going to Riverside. "Billy Jack" Squirrel cut wood for us before dinner. "Dick Johnson was here for medicine for his wife.

Clearing Ther. 38o FRIDAY 9th Wind S.W. Dick Johnson called to report wife greatly improved. Bro: Richard brought Dora home from Riverside. Afternoon John W. johnson came & at about 3-30 started to Laurel to meet Willie who wrote us saying he would be there this evening. John drove "Frank" to the phaeton.

Cloudy Ther. 37o SAT. DEC. 10th Wind Variable Willie & john arrived from Laurel about 11-30 last night, W having left Wellsboro at 7. o'clk this a.m. W walked to Brighton before dinner. Susan Miles from "Lay Hill" brought her infant son for advice & medicine. Afternoon Emma King was here for medicine for M K Evans. I walked up to Jno Oldfield's shop to have some harness mended. B. O. Hardy sent us 6 1/2 Bushels of potatoes & 4 chickens on account of bill.

Clear Ther. 28o SUNDAY 11th Wind N.W. Dora & Willie drove "Frank" to church at Olney. Mr A. Y. Mathews called at the gate. Afternoon N: Dora & Edwd went to E Peirce's in the Surry & brought Fanny home with them. Lizzie Budd brought he infant for advice & medicine. Lizzie Franklin was also here for advice & medicine for her daughter.

Clear 26o Ther. MON. DEC. 12, 1892 Wind N.W. Cold & frosty today. Mrs Rodney Boswell sent for medicine by her little boy. I am very sore and rheumatic. Afternoon Willie took Fanny Peirce (with "Frank" to Bulwar's buggy) to Unity to Dr. Dwyer's. Emory Snowden was here about dark for advice & med: for his son. Willie came home from E Peirces about 10.30 p.m.

Rain Rain Ther. 36o TUESDAY 13th Wind Commenced raining early this morning and continued all day Except that Edwd went to school we were all at home all dayexcept that I went to the mill for the papers & W went to the store & P.O.

Clearing Ther. 40o WED. DEC. 14th Wind N.W. Willie walked to Riverside Brighton. Chas Henry Johnson was here for more "pension papers" for me to make out for him. I went up to Allan Farquhar to "prove" them. I Rode over & prescribed for Emory Snowden's boy - Ernest Boswell was here & had a tooth extracted. I paid Jax Collector "Waters" Ten Dollars. as he was passing. Mr C Colt was here for advice & medicine for his daughter. Edwd & I walked up to the store after dark.

Cloudy Ther. 40o THURSDAY 15th Wind S.W Dull & cloudy all day. Eleanora Bell washed for H I rode over to see Emory Snowden's boy again and down to Mr C M Colt's little girl. Fanny Peirce brought W home. Afternoon he drove "Frank" to Muncaster to be gone all night. "Phil" & I fixed the sash in the stable window. Robt Blair was here after dark & I paid him 9 a.c. which was 2.5 cts: more than was due him Edwd having taken pictures for him to that amount & which I paid Edwd: some time ago.
