This is to cerify that R. G. Blakeney paid taxes on 2 horses value, $100 Taxes one and 25/100 Dollars ($1.75) for the year 1902, receipt No 4732 dated July 31, 1903,

W.J. Gilvin City Asst & Col Per W.B. Marlet Deputy.

To the Hon. Mayor and Members of the City Council of Fort Worth, Texas.

This is to certify that I have no now nor did I have on the 1st day of January, 1902 nor at any time since any horse or horses. and I hereby request that the above amount be refunded to me.

We your Finance Com recommend that the within petition be granted and that the petitioner be allowed credit for $1.75 within taxes for the year 1903.

Respectfully referred to the City Assessor & collector for information as to why if the petitioner had no horses on any 1st 1902 he was assessed as the owner of two horses and paid taxes on same.

Messrers Newby Moreland & Henderson Gentlemen the redition of R G Blakeney gives two horses valued at $100.00 and was signed by Mrs R. G. Blakeny the Rendition was taken by M. Jno Dawson who was a Depty under Capt Day of that time April 25th 1902
