Resolved that the City Engineer be and he is hereby instructed to contract with
Hawkins or an other contractor for the gravelling of the intersections on Hattie street where the said Hawkins is now doing work of that character.
The said number of said interesections not exceeding four and the cost therefore being merely a nominal amount.

To the Hon. Mayor and City Council of the City of Fort Worth,
Gentlemen:-
We the undersigned, owning property and doing business within the district hereinafter described, would respectfully represent to your Honorable Body that that portion of the City lying between 15th and Front streets as far west as Jennings Avenue is rapidly developing into a wholesale district, in which are being erected large and expensive brick buildings in which valuable stocks of merchandise necessary to the wholesale business, are being carried, and said district not being within the present fire limits, we would respectfully pray your Honorable Body to pass such ordinance as is necessary in order to extend the present Fire limit to Jennings Avenue on the West, Front street on the South, and East to the present Fire limit.
