A good day. Ben went to Mr Edmons this morning. He went with Marvin Smith all of the rest staid at home. Reese and Paul come and played with the children. Marvin and Carrie and the little children come a few minutes on the car and carried the boys home.

We had butter beans for dinner. Mrs Owen gave them to us. Josie got dinner. I got breakfast and milked and churned. I have not bin well today. Hope I may feel better by morning.

Josie is playing the piano and Ben the violin.

A good day. Ben and Paul and Owen finished dobbing the barns. The Hutchersons finished thrashing wheat.

Josie got dinner and churned and milked night and morning.

I went with George and Denia and Ethel and Henry to Mr John Reynolds to see olde Mrs Blair. Shes very feeble. Isla come with us home. We had a good trip nothing happened to the car.

Henry brought me home. I hope I am thankful for all the kindness that is shown me.

A good day. The men folks topped tobacco. Josie ironed most of the day.

This evening Paul carried Henry and Edna and Reese and I to White Falls to fish. We did not catch many fish. We walked up by Mr Johnsons house. Mrs Johnson was very nice to us. Marvin come after us. Carrie and all the children come with him. We had a pleasant evening.

We got home in good time to milk and feed the hogs. Josie had corn batter bread for supper and we did enjoy it.

A clear day and very warm. Ben finished curing his primings to night.

Paul suckered tobacco. Mr Owen went to the mill did not get his grinding. Josie washed the breakfast dishes and ironed and got dinner and washed the dinner dishes and ironed most of the evening. I got breakfast and called them to eat then I milked three cows and watered hogs at three different places then I gathered some butter beans and helped to shell them. Then fixed the milk ready to churn then cut a bucket of cucumbers then churned fixed to wash some.

After dinner I washed a bout 40 garments then put the cucumbers in brine and salted the butter and fixed it ready for use. Then rested a while then milked eat supper and helped wash dishes and ready to go to bed.

A cloudy day no rain.

Ben Kate and I went by Java and on to Chatham. Kate put in a plea for Chesley Edmons to come home and strip his tobacco.

Josie milked the cows for me this morning. Paul and the Owens stripped tobacco and Josie helped what she could. Ben and I got back a bout dinner time. Eat dinner. Ben went to the saw mill. I tied tobacco got done be fore night. I went to Marvins a little while.

Heard today that Clifton Reynolds is very sick hope he may be better soon.

Had a Letter from Jim today. I am glad that he was well. Hope he may stay well.
