[p.36] JANUARY 30 19 sewed on new dress. Went to reception at museum for Mrs. Cody with Luella and Don. They came here afterward.

19 Made cookies. 15 below zero. Read stories with children. Harold came home for dinner. Mary took lunch to school. letter from Ailsa Sennell.

19 Went to bank and library and met Donal at dentists. He had 2 teeth out. Harold out. Began book about girl who wanted to write.

19 In bed all day - feeling very wretched. Reading. Luella came up to see me.

Sun 19 Don, Mary and I went to Niagara Falls with Kemps. Saw ice fallen bridge, dinner at gen. Brock Hotel, saw whirlpool and queenston plant. Rainy on trip but wonderful day. Charles Treffey and Luella here for supper.

[p.37] JANUARY 31 19 Sewed. Hugh has slight cold.

Thurs. 19 Took Hugh and Anne for walk. Milder and snowing. Met Harold at Eatons and got new living room rug. Went to library and met children at barber's.

[crossed over]Sat.[crossed over] 19 Baked and cooked [crossed over text] for Sunday[crossed over text] Harold came home early. very cold. Hugh played outside.

Sun. 19 In bed all morning, but better. Went to tea at Skeltons, very nice time. Harold at meeting. I went to bed.

19 Anne started to Kindergarten. Likes it very much. Typed and read. Harold and I went to McPherson's to hear music. lovely time.

[p.38] FEBRUARY 1 19 Anne has bad cold. Wentto bank with georgia - Ballard. Knitted and read.

19 Took Hugh and Anne for walk. Bright and mild. Took notes. Reading Parkman. Finished Mary's striped sweater. Practiced on piano.

x 19 Children went out.

19 In all day, feeling a little better. Wrote 5 letters. Mild.

19 Went at 2 to parent's Day at school. Visited classes, saw Donald get pin and diploma. served sandwiches. Many sang in choir.

[p.39] FEBRUARY 2 Fri. 19 Took Hugh to Dr. MacDonald. He enjoyed taxis very much. sewed.

Sat. 19 Took Mary to dancing class. Baked. Mary at Barbara's party. Letter from mother. Milder. Percy Bishop came in.

Sun. 19 Harold took children out. Wrote letter.

Tues. 19 Luella took me downtown. Went to h and s club , parents' day in afternoon, then to Fairley's to tea. Very cold.

Wed. 19 Cut out and basted 2 aprons. Worked on story. Cold. Wrote letters. Began " The Last Puritan."

[p.40] FEBRUARY 3 19 Went to library with Donald and Allen and then to Institute tea at Clutes. Harold away. Very cold. Deep snow fell.

Sun. 19 Went over stuff with Harold. He too children tobogganing. Went to Prof. Alexanders for supper. [Kirkwool] and[ Nudlers] there

19 Letter from mother. Children played outside. Blizzard.

Wed. 19 Typed and knitted. Face still very sore.

19 Went to tea at Mc Dougalls. Came home with Harold. Luella came in evening.
