[p.26] JANUARY 20 Sat. 19 Baked bran rolls, gingerbread and Washington pie. Met Harold and went to Institue tea at Ellis Thompson's. Very cold.

Sun. 19 Went over economy history. Played " Last Heir." Harold and Kemps and Mc Kay's here for supper. Very nice time.

Mon. 19 Donald went back to school. Sewed and played with children. Harold out.

19 Cold and sleet. Darned socks and finished knitted socks for Harold. Donald's class went to museum.

19 Mr. Mc Farlain came in evening . Milder. Typed all day.

[p.27] JANUARY 21 1933 Worked with Harold on documents all morning. Harold, Donald and I went to grange to see Krieghoff paintings and old Toronto exhibit.

19 Worked on stuff in a.m. went downtown and got piano, sloppy and mild. Harold out for dinner.

Thurs. 19 Very cold and heavy snow. Club met at Margery Jackson's. Read T. S. Eliot's "Murder in the Cathedral."

Thurs. 19 . Milder rain. Took dolls to doll's hospital and Hugh to oculist. My glasses broken.

Fri. 19 Took Ann to class. Typed. Harold and I went to Bladens for dinner. Easterbrooks there. Lovely time.

[p.28] JANUARY 22 Mon. 19 Went downtown and got breeks and satin for evening dress for me.

Tues. 19 Piano delivered. great excitement. Picking out tunes. Went to hear Ruth Draper " Italian Lesson", "Dalmatian Reasant", "Maine Porch," " Doctors," "Debutante", "Western Ry. station"

19 Heavy snow all day. Baked lemon pie.

Fri. 19 Took Ann to Yonge St. to get hair cut and new shoes. Went to h. and s. executive and then to Mrs. w.s. Ferguson's tea. Came home with Craigiees. snow.

19 Baked cookies. went out for lunch with Luella. Typed. Went to Pratt's to hear Ralph Bates speak on Spanish war.

[p29] JANUARY 23 19 Finished getting names for petition about ravine. Met Mrs.Knox at Toronto symphiny. Harriet Cohen piano soloist. Had chocolate afterward.

19 Cold. Worked on stuff. Much picking out " Jingle Bells." Present for Anne came from mother.

Thurs. 19 Went to library and got presents for Anne. Harold out. blizzard. Deep snow.

Sat. 19 Baked pies and brown bread. Took Mary to doo's hospital to get her doll. Went to Mc Callums -Ross's and Callaghans and Creigtons there.

19 Took all children to church. D. Mc Gregor here. Harold went for a walk.

[p.30] JANUARY 24 19 Took Anne and Hugh for a walk. Mild. Georgia Ballard and I went to see Mae West in "I'm no Angel." Went to her house for cocoa.

Thurs. 19 Basted some. Below zero. Mary and Donald took lunches to school. went to library and wool. Wrapped up gifts.

19 Very cold but bright. Book from mother came for Anne.

19 Took children to s.s. Harold and i went to tea at Mc Ilwraiths.

Mon. 19 typed all day. Cold. Rewrote " A bag of Peanuts"
