[p.21] JANUARY 15 Mon. 19 Sewed and read. Cold.

19 Hugh in bed. Had Dr. Sharpe Kept steam on, read aloud and squeezed oranges all day. Harold out.

19 Children better. Melting outside. Harold went to Ottawa. Played with children. Health officer came.

Fri. 19 Worked in University library on globe and Sess. papers. Harold and I went to Park Plaza for dinner. Went to recital at conservatory.

Sat. 19 Typed. Baked. Went out a while with Luella, She and children went akating at school and came here for tea.

[p.22] JANUARY 16 Tues. 1 9 Sewed. Took Hugh for a walkin snowstorm. Harold out for dinner. Mrs. Ballard once in morning.

Wed. 19 Hughbetter. Went to Dr. Parey and had filling. Snowing. Played with children. Harold out.

19 Harold out in Ottawa. very cold. Mary up and dressed. Letter from Betty.

19 Baked pies, cake, cookies, date bread. Took children to Loblaws. Cold. Took Mary to " Little Women." I shopped and called for her.

Sun. 19 Donald and Mary went to Luella's to skate. All came here for diner. Easterbroks, Westcotts and Bady here for tea.

[p.23] JANUARY 17 Wed. 1933 Very cold. Sewed on dresses for Mary. Stewed chivken for supper. Harold out. met him at Conservatory for F. H. Brown's recital. splendid voice.

19 Blizzard - strong west wind. Took children's lunches to school and went to University library and worked on Jesuit Relations. Played pounce with Donald.

Fri. 19 Ann and Hugh up and dressed. All very lively. Went downtown shopping and to library. Harold came back.

Sun. 19 Took all to S. S. Alexanders, H. Kemps and Wynne here for tea. Raining.

19 Typed. Went down to reference library to get plays. Met Doris for dinner and went to lecture on Nutrition by Dr. Tisdall. Very good.

[p.24] JANUARY 18 19 Took Hugh for walk. Went down to drug store and woolworths. Harold out. " Shorter Ox. Dict." came for Harold.

Fri. 19 Reupholstered seat of chair and recovered garden chair. Knitted and read to children. Harold home for dinner.

Sat. 19 Baked. Read to and played with children. Harold reading proof on miring book.

19 Luella came in and stayed 2hrs. Went down shopping and Mrs. [Wervy] and I went to Mrs. [Unsers]

Tues. 19 Very cold. Typed. Club met at Doris's. Very good time. Mc Iluraiths brot me home.

[p.25] JANUARY 19 1934 Took Anna and Hugh for walk. Cold wind. Sewed. Harold in Hamilton. Had tea with Mrs. Mc [Ilwraith]. Luella came in.

1935 Dancing class. Baked cakes. Went to Welsh Sumber Co. with Donald. Donal and I met Harold and went to Tivoli to see " Man of Aran." Splendid.

Sun. 19 Very cold and windy. Children very full of pep. Reading " Those Barren Leaves." wrote letters.

Tues. 19 Reading club at Tait's. Margaret and I debated " Art and Propaganda." Lively discussion. Cold.

19 Typed. Darned and mended. Harold and i went to commerce club dance at King Edward. Perkinsons brought us home.
