[p.16] JANUARY 10 19 Sewed some. Letter from mother.

Thurs. 19 WEnt down to library and to 44 Hoskin Ave. to University Arts Womens Club to sew layettes. Saw lots of people. very tired.

Fri. 19 Took Hugh for walk. Went to library. Mild and melting. Letter from mother. Anne and Mary very miserable.

Sun. 19 MAry went to S.S. Made candy. read and played games. Went to supper at Tyrills - lovely time. Mrs. T. gave me red Merxican bracelet.

Mon. 19 Typped. Rewrote story. Don Creighton came over to see Harold. Childred skating at school.

JANUARY 11

19 Went downtown. bought folding cot, slippers ans material for 3 dresses for me.

19 Anne in bed with cold. Cut out Donald's pyjamas. Typed. Harold out.

Sat. 19 Baked apple cake and muffines. Georgia took me to Loblaws. Hugh has spots. Anne and Mary very miserable - put oil on them all day. Harold out.

19 My cold better. Went to short story seminar at Binks's. Very nice time. [crossed over]Cold better[crossed over]

Tues. 19 Took Ann to class and took clothes to church. Luella called up. Very cold.

[p.18] JANUARY 12 19 Took Ann and Hugh for walk. Cut out blue and white striped broadcloth dress for me. Sent off Luella's crib and divanette and put up new cot.

19 Dancing class. Baked, typed and sewed. Colder. Ann all right. Letter from mother.

19 Waited on children. girls miserable. Harold and I went to Tyrells for supper. Very nice. Masons there.

Wed. 19 Heavy snowstorm. Donald shorelling walk. Letters from mother and Mary Jane. typed all day.

[p.19] JANUARY 13 Sat. 19 Baked cake and cookies. Harold out with Prof. Copland all day. Mild. Mary went to Joan Roberts for supper.

Sun. 19 Heavy snow all day. Went over Economy history in a.m. Harold and i went to Moores for tea. Meeks and H. Jacksons there.

Mon. 19 Waited on children - girls better, Hugh very miserable.

Wed. 19 Margart Fairly here for tea and to plan meeting. Very mild. Reading " Flowering of new England" - very fine.

19 Went downtown and got watch. Went to hear Prof. Usher lecture at [Economy building.] very cold.

[p.20] JANUARY 14 Sun. 19 Large tea for Prof. Copland. F. H. Browns, Plumptre, Miss Biss, Bladens, Bradys. Very nice. Mrs. Hall kept children.

Mon. 19 Cold. Children have colds.League of nations play at Davisville school. Very nice time.

19 Hugh still wretched. Read to children. darned some. Finished articles for " The school." Went to H and S. club. Georgia [brought] me home.

19 Violent rain. Very warm. Mrs. Mc Ilwraith came for tea. Knitting socks for Harold. Took Anne to mail box.

19 Typed all day. Children skating.
