PLEASANT PURGATIVE PELLETS.

OUR PROGRESS. - As stages are quickly abandoned with the completion of railroads, so the huge, drastic, cathartic pills, composed of crude and bulky medicines, are quickly abandoned with the introduction of Dr. PIERCE'S Pleasant Purgative Pellets, which are sugarcoated, and little larger than mustard seeds, but composed of highly concentrated vegetable extracts. Having spent nearly $500,000 in erecting and furnishing this grand national resort for invalids, it was the determination of the Board of Directors that every member of its extensive Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons should be equally superior in experience, culture, and skill. During this time some few specifics have been developed and perfected for the cure of certain chronic ailments, and have been given to the public, not being lauded as "cure-alls", or panaceas, but recommended as remedies for certain easily-recognized diseases.
