Anna Farquhar Brooke was the daughter of Charles and Sarah Brooke Farquhar and was born at Alexandria, Virginia in 1834. She lived there until her marriage in 1865 to Charles H. Brooke. She then went to Falling Green where they lived together fifty one years, she surviving her husband a little more than a year. Anna was the mother of Henry Brooke, Edith Farquhar (Brooke) Green and Mary Briggs Brooke.
