Jina's Sopapilla (n.mex.style)

1 cup flour 1 t shortening 1 t. salt 1/4 cup buttermilk 1/4 cup water Mix like biscuit dough, roll out about 1/8 " thick. cut in 3 " squares. drop in deep fat until golden brown.

3 cups flour 1 t baking powder 1/2 t salt 1/2 t shortening

Mix ingred. add enough warm water to make dough. Knead & let set for 15 mins. Roll very thin cut in 4 " squares. Fry in deep fat
