1931. Went to school at twelve thirty o'clock and took the arithmetic exam. Studied for Geometry final tonight.

1932. Went to school today, and came home this afternoon. Mrs. Ligon died this morning about five - thirty o'clock.

1933. I went to see Acie a little while this afternoon. I have been disappointed because Rex didn't come today.

1934. I got breakfast + helped clean up the house this morning. All of us stayed at home all day. Rex and I played Rummy & I read some.

1935. We killed hogs today. Kate helped me get dinner. Mr. Merrill, Mr. Kirkwood, Cousin Herb, Earl, William Ross, Albert and Jim ate dinner with us. Kate ate dinner also. I cut up some meat for the lard this afternoon.

1931. Went to school at ten o'clock & took the Geometry exam. Uncle Brock came after me & we came home. Mr Hartman came over tonight.

1932. Stayed at home this morning Miss. Nannie & myself went to Mrs. Johnson's this afternoon & spent the night with her.

1933. Mr. & Mrs. Gene Melton, Bonnie & Robert & Ritta Gene spent the day with us. Rex came this afternoon. John Marion Slaton came a little while also.

1934. I got dinner and cleaned up the house. I wrote a letter to mother, washed my head and patched a pair of overalls. Rex & I played Rummy tonight.

1935. I got dinner, supper, cut up some meat for the lard today. I washed some jars to put the lard in also. William Lynch Parrish is getting along as well as could be expected.

1931. Stayed at home all day. Am almost sick with a cold. Cosby came this afternoon first time this year.

1932. Miss. Nannie & myself went to Mrs. Utley's & spent the day. We went to Mrs. Melton's this afternoon & spent the night with her.

1933. It rained some today & has been too cloudy for us to go to town as we intended to. Mr. Elvin Kirkwood came a while this morning. He is selling the Watkins Products.

1934. I cleaned up the house, got dinner and patched some today. Elmer Wilson came this afternoon. Rex went to town today.

1935. I got dinner today & cleaned the hog heads & Mr. Slaton helped me clean the feet. I churned and made out sausage ready to fry this afternoon and Sis fried them tonight.

1931. Dad & myself went to town today & I went to school, I passed in all my subjects and am in 11 A group now.

1932. Dad came after us this morning & we came home. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond came a little while this afternoon. Mrs. Hartman came a little while tonight.

1933. It rained all day and we didn't get to wash as we had intended to. Mother and I played Rum tonight.

1934. Rex & I washed today. Cornell and Nealie came this afternoon. Uncle Brock came this afternoon is going to spend the night with us.

1935. I got dinner & cleaned up the house this morning. Kate washed for us today. Leona & I went to Mrs. Merrill's this afternoon & helped work on the pillow slips for the Missionary Society's linen chest. Ruby went with us. She was coming to see us but as I had already stated she went to Merrill's also. I wrote a letter to Mother today.

1931. Stayed at home all day my cold isn't much better. Miss Nannie, Mother, Dad & myself played rook tonight.

1932. Came to town this morning and went to school I passed in all my subjects & am in 12 A group now. Mrs. Mann, Ernest & myself went over to Mrs. Thomas's a little while tonight.

1933. I washed a few pieces this morning and ironed them this afternoon. I got a letter from Rex today. Mother and I played Rum tonight.

1934. I cleaned up the house, got dinner & ironed today. Uncle Brock spent the day with us & is going to spend the night. Uncle Brock & Rex went to the island this morning.

1935. Jessie came this morning & spent the day with us. Jim brought her. Jessie ironed for us today. I ironed a few pieces & got dinner. a Miss Joy came after her this afternoon, Albert came a while tonight. He said Jim was better today.

1931. Stayed at home all day, my cold isn't much better. Heard of Howard and Marguerite getting married.

1932. Went to school today, and to Mr. Frank Barton's funeral this afternoon. Mrs. Mann, Ernest, & myself went to Mrs. Mitchell's a while tonight.

1933. Mother, Dad & I went to town today and I bought some new clothes. I weighed 129 pounds with my coat on. We went to see Mrs. Mann a little while and I went with Ernest to school a while this afternoon. I mailed a letter to Rex today.

1934. I finished ironing & got dinner this morning. Uncle Brock went home this afternoon and I went home with him and went Mother's. I am going to stay a few days with Mother & Dad.

1935. It has rained nearly all day & Rex & I didn't get to go to see Mother & Dad as we had intended to. I wrote a letter to Mother today, churned & read some. Rex & Dock went to town this afternoon. Modest, Ruby & Jasper came a little while this afternoon.

1931. Came to town about 11 o'clock. This is the first day I've missed school. Heard of the Campbell boy's death.

1932. Went to school today and studied some this afternoon. Mrs. Mann, Ernest & myself went over to Peggy's a little while tonight.

1933. I cleaned up the house this morning and sewed a little this afternoon. Mother and I played Rum tonight.

1934. I made two pies, washed some dresses and helped Mother wash the dog. Rex came late this afternoon & is going to spend the night. Rex has an awful bad cold & is nearly sick.

1935. It has rained nearly all day. I got breakfast & Sis got dinner. Joseph, Earl, Rex & I played Rook this afternoon. Rex & I won 3 games and Earl & Joseph won one game. I read a little tonight.

1931 Went to school today and to town in the afternoon. Studied for a test in English tonight.

1932. Went to school today, went home with Fannie Maye this afternoon & spent the night with her. We played Rook & had a good time.

1933. It rained all day and Rex didn't get to come as he had intended to. Mother and I played Rum tonight.

1934. Rex and I spent the day with Mother and Dad and came home this afternoon. I went to see Uncle Brock a little while this morning. Rex is nearly sick today. Rex & I played Rummy tonight.

1935. I got dinner and supper today. It sleated some today and has snowed nearly all day. Basil, Buck & Albert came this morning. Buck, Rex, Basil & I played Rook this afternoon Dock, Rex, Basil, & Albert came a little while tonight.

1931. Went to school today. Made 88 on an English test. Listened to the Radio to-night.

1932. Went to school today and came home this afternoon. I got a letter from Cosby today.

1933. Acie came a while this morning. Rex came late this afternoon and spent the night with us.

1934. I have done the regular house work today and patched some. Rex is sick today. He has the flu.

1935. I got dinner today & churned. Earl, Dock, Rex & I played Rook this afternoon. Earl, Dock, Basil and I played Rook also. I made some molasses candy tonight and Sis got supper. It is pretty cold today & the ground is still covered in snow.

1931. Went to school today. Dad came after me and I came home this afternoon. Mother & myself played Rook tonight.

1932. Stayed at home all day, and studied some. I am nearly sick with a cold. It has rained some today.

1933.Rex went home this morning. Mother and I washed today. I got a cold from Christian Lee Schmatzer today.

1934. I have done the regular house work today. I have been nearly sick today. Rex is a little better today.

1935. I got dinner & cleaned up the house. Rex went to town today and Dock went to Loyd's. Ruby & Joseph came home with him & will spend the night. We played Rook tonight & had a real good time.
