I herewith submit claim to your Hon-Body for value of my horse who.s. leg was injured and usefullness destroyed by falling in hole in Arlington Heights bridge on saturday August 10th
This accident was due I think to negligence on part the City and when I made complaint to cirtain members of your body I was instructed to file claim in writing The horse injured was reasonably worth $55.00 Fifty five dollars whitch amount I submit to your Hon-Body as my claim I am a poor man earning my living as mail carrier and the horse is necesary in my imployment since accident above mentioned I have ben forced to hire horse not being able to buy one kindly give this matter your amediate consideration

To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of Ft. Worth:
I am in the employ of the Texas & Pacific Ry. Co. as switchman. Was working with switch engine 144 on the night of Aug. 22, 1906 and about 8:30 P.M. on that date while engine was switching under the Jennings Ave Viaduct, a lrge piece of concrete broke loose from the floor of the viaduct, striking the back of my left hand, bruising same so badly that I was compelled to lose 198 hours time at rate of thirty cents per hour.
I respectfully ask that you allow me the amount I lost on account of said injuries.
