FtWorth Texas, August 13th,1906

Hon. C. G. Harrold, Chairman Water Works committe, FtWorth, Texas.

Dear Sir:-

Referring to our conversation of a few days ago relative to the City wells at their upper plant, and the installation of my device for their betterment, beg leave to submit the following proposition:-

On Wells Nos. 1, 2, 3, & 4, I will guarantee to reduce the air pressure 25% and at the same time increase the flow of water 25%: the figures as shown in test made by Mr. Calhoun on the 11th, inst to govern.

It will be necessary to have 300' 8" pipe for wells Nos. 2 & 4 in order to obtain the best results.

It is understood that the City is to furnish labor and material necessary for the installation of device the same as was done with wells Nos. 5 & 6.

Within ten days after the installation of device in said wells, test shall be made and if the guaranteed results are obtained then the City is to pay me the sume of One Hundred & Fifty ($150.00) Dollars for each and every device installed. in each well to be $150.00

If at the expiration of ten days the results are not obtained, and you do not feel satisfied with same, then the City is to remove and discontinue the use of same without further expense.

I would also like aproposition to install my device in the other four wells, and in this connection, there is no question of a doubt, that with my device properly installed in the ten wells, the power you have at present will be all that will be required to pump them all # to the satisfaction of all concerned. Yours truly,

Thos Butler
