Gentlemen;-

We, your committee on Water Works, beg to recommend that the attached proposition from Thos. Butler relative to installing his device in the Artesian wells of the city at the Air Compressor plant, be accepted, as we have the material on hand with which to do the work, and thw city will be out nothing except the labor of installing the device uless Mr. Butler suceeds in carrying out his contract and in which case the city will be greatly benefitted.

Complying with your instructions I have tested the six wells at the upper plany and find they furnish the following amounts of water.

Wells No. Air Preesure. Gallons in 24 hours.

Total gallons in 24 hours from 6 wells, .... I.000.512 gallons.
