To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Fort Worth.

Gentlemen:

I return to you the petition with reference to the opening of the 30 foot street lying to the north of Block 25 etc of the Edwards Heirs Addition, at the same time attaching to my report letters written to John B. Hawley, city engineer, and Jas. H. Maddox, Chief of police. On the coming in of their reports, if I should find that other steps are necessary upon my part, I shall immediately procced to take such steps as I may find to be necessary.

Mr. John B. Hawley, City Engineer, Fort Worth, Texas.

Dear Sir:

The street and alley committee made a report requiring the city attorney to take such steps as may be necessary to require any person obstructing the following described street to remove such obstruction leaving the street open, the street being the 30foot street lying to the north of Block 25 to Edwards Heirs Addition.

I have no knowledge of the conditions obtaining and would be pleased to have a report from you in connection therewith.

Mr. James H. Maddox, Chief of Police, Fort Worth, Texas.

Dear Sir:

The city attorney has been instructed by the council through the street and alley committee to take such steps as may be necessary to require any person obstructing the following described street to remove the obstruction and leave the street open for such improvement as may be necessary, the street being the 30 foot street lying to the north of Block 25 of Edwards Heirs Addition.

I would be pleased if you would investigate the condition and see if the street is obstructed, and if it is to at once report to me in case you find that you cannot without further action upon my part prevent obstruction of the said street.

Your early attention will greatly oblige,

Hon. The Mayor and City Council, City.

Gentlemen:-

We, your Committee on Sts. & Alley, to whom was referred the attached petition and Blue Print of W. I. Keeling, et al, asking that the 30 ft. St. Lying to the North of Block 25 &c Edwards Heirs Addn., be at once opened and graded by the City, have the honor to report:

That the City Atty. be instructed to at once take such steps as to require any person obstructing said street to remove such obstruction, thus leaving the street open for such improvement as may be agreed upon by the City Council and interested property owners.

The Street at present is in simply prairie condition, and its improvement should be a matter of mutual agreement, after the City's rights have been insisted upon, as above.
