To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Fort Worth.

Gentlemen:

I return to you the petition with reference to the opening of
the 30 foot street lying to the north of Block 25 etc of the Edwards
Heirs Addition, at the same time attaching to my report letters writ-
ten to John B. Hawley, city engineer, and Jas. H. Maddox, Chief of
police. On the coming in of their reports, if I should find that
other steps are necessary upon my part, I shall immediately procced
to take such steps as I may find to be necessary.
