We y'r Finance comtee respectfully recommend that the within petition be be referred to the City Assor & Col or for a report on the condition of the property in the year mentioned and as to any mistakes made in the assessment for those years

Respectfully returned to the Finance Commitee of the City Council, Fort Worth.
The assessment on the within mentioned lots for the year 1897 was "strip 40x1000' " but no lot numbers were designated, though the value was far in excess of the actual value of the lots.
For the years 1904 & 1905 the assessed value of the lost were $175 for the two, which I think was a reasonable assessment

On the matter of [Ellison?] sewer_ I have the honor to recommend that the entire discussion be left to arbitration_ one arbitrator to be selected by the mayorand one by Ellison- and those two- in case they cannot agreeto select a third man- who shall be umpire chairman of the board of Arbitration, and there a majority of the board shall under a report which shall be reported and oliged by both the City and Ellison and arbitration expenses equally divided.
