Minority Report on the proposition of the Fort Worth Light & Power Co. to compromise tax litigation

To the Hon. City Council of Fort Worth, Texas.

I am unable to concur in the majority report of the majority of the Finance & Judiciary Committee recommending a settlement by accepting from the Fort Worth Light & Power Co., the taxes for 1903 based on a valuation of 103,000. The board of equalization placed the valuation at $196000 after hearing the evidence and in my opinion this valuation has not been shown to be excessive. The proposed compromise
