JOHN T. MONTGOMERY City Secretary City of Fort Worth OFFICE OF CITY SECRETARY.

Fort Worth Tex Dec 16 1903

Hon Mayor & City Council.

Gentlemen,

Your petitioner would respectfully state that he is new, and was on January 1st 1903 the owner of the property 811 west 3rd st city. and further states that he called to pay his taxes at the collector's office and found that he had been assessed for a house and lot, that on January 1st 1903 no house was on the lot as a fire before that time had almost entirely condemmed it so much so it was uninhabitable. Therefore your petitioner asks a reduction of assessment to the extent of $400. the amount the house is assessed for the lot is assessed at $800 full high but I am willing to be taxed that much.
