A clear morning. Rain this evening. Ben and Jim & Henry worked tobacco all the morning. This evening Ben went to Gretna to meet Nellie Brumfield. Three of the children went and I went. I bought a pair of shoes and a few other things. It rained all the time that we were comeing home. We did not get wet. Josie had supper a bough ready when we got home.

A rainy day. The boys at Tims planted tobacco this evening. Lizzie got dinner. Alma sowed. I mended some garments. Lizzies washer woman brought her clothes home this morning.

Tim Bennett has gone to a farmers meeting at the school house to night.

Gordon Bennett come over here today. I have wrote a letter home to night. Hope they may get it soon.

A good morning. Rain this evening. It was badly needed. The boys here got up some hay and cut wheat. Frances and Gordon and Shirly was here. Earl went to the mill after the rain.

I had a letter from Carrie Smith. She said that she might come for me tomorrow. I want it to rain and I want her to come two. I know I cant have both. I do want to go home. Guess I will have to go with Earl Bennett Sunday. Will be glad to do that.

I do hope that nothing will happen to hinder me from going.

Clear this morning. Rain this evening. We are very glad of it. Ben & Jim commenced to cut oats this morning. Replanted tobacco this evening. Jim have gone to the school house to night to a farmers meeting.

Josie got dinner. I washed a little. This evening I went to Marvins a few minutes.

Marvin had the surveyor at his house to day to cut his land in lots to sell. I am very sorry that he will sell but it may be for the best. I know I sall miss them if I live that long. Marvin has bin kind to me.

A good morning. Rain this evening. Ben & Jim helped Marvin get up some hay then Marvins folks helped thin corn until they finished.

Josie got dinner. I picked a few black berries. I caned a half gallon & had all they would eat for dinner and supper. I sowed some on a quilt this evening. I slept a long nap after dinner. Something I dont often do.

Well we are all glad of the good rain that come this evening.

John has come to night. I am glad.
