A good day. The men folks cut tobacco.

Marvin brought our flour from the mill.

Mollie Reynols come a few minutes this morning. Johnson went to see Mr Layne this morning.

We got dinner & churned. We all staid at home all day. Josie cut out some garments to mak soon.

I gathered & strung some snaps for tomorrows dinner. Mrs Owen come this evening for milk. She picked up a bucket of apples for us.

A good day. Jim staid at the barns to day. Ben & Owen and Marvin and Paul Bennett and William Gilbert (col) all worked on Bens tobacco pulling and hangin leaves. I handed leaves all day.

Josie got dinner & churned. Put out some apples to dry. The school teachers want to know what to depend on and worrie Ben lots.

Jack Harvey come this evening and got Jake and the buggy. I hope he will take care of them.

Jim Emerson passed here to day with ladies on the car.

We had peas for dinner today. They come from George Blairs.

A good day. Ben & Edna & Josie and Franklin went with Mrs. Car home at Mr Powers. Henry went with Uncle Marvin to Sunday school at Strait Stone church. He come home and we eat our dinner. Then Henry went to Marvins. Reese & Paul Smith and Henry Brumfield went to Mag Brumfields.

I went to the sweet potatoe patch and dug a basket full of sweet potatoes & washed them this evening. I churned and gathered some snaps & strung them.

I went to Marvins a while this evening. Willie Mayhew was here this morning to look at Bens tobacco.

A beautiful day. Ben and I went to Gretna this morning. We met Jim. Nellie come with him. Ben solde Henrys tobacco. Ben had to put on a new tire before he come home. We saw a truck that had turned over. No one was seriously hurt.

Mrs Car & Josie got dinner and churned while we were gone.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. Mollie Reynolds was there. I was glad to see her.

The chlidren went to school to day.

A cloudy day warm and good. Ben & Owen worked on the wheat land. Jim has not bin well. He had the tooth ache and his jaw is swolen. Josie got the most of the dinner. Nellie attended to the baby.

To day is my birth day. I am 73 years olde. I got up at five oclock and got breakfast. Seven: milked two cows then churned. Washed 68 pieces and went to Marvins. Come home and milked.

Nellie & Josie got the supper. I kept the baby.

Ben said he would carrie me to the river. I had no one to go with me. Thought I would wait and go some other day if I can.

I started John a letter to day.

Ben has gone hunting to night.
